Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) commander, General Hossein Salami, on Sunday applauded the drone and missile attack on Israel, lauding it as more successful than expected before warning against any retaliation from the Jewish state or its allies.
Salami’s boast came despite the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) saying it had intercepted the “majority” of the “dozens” of drones and cruise missiles sent to attack Israel, though a few hit targets, including an IDF base, as Breitbart News reported.

Those buzz-bombers cost Iran about 20 million, but the cost to Israel to shoot them down was probably in the billions. And Israel has a finite number of 'bullets.'
I can’t wait to see Israel hit back at the Kenyan’s moolah buddies. They can keep the “benjamins” Barry Sombrero sent them but we want the pallets back.
This is why Israel has to counteract. The Iranians must see that drone attacks are quite costly.
Iran’s retaliatory attack on Israel yesterday (to get back at Israel for bombing its consulate in Syria) was cleared in advance by the US. The deal was to make it look like Iran got revenge without Israel suffering any serious casualties. Neither Iran or the US want a regional war, only Netanyahu wants that. So will Netanyahu intentionally provoke Iran again like he did with the consulate bombing, or will the Biden admins warning that the US would not participate in any offensive attack against Iran be enough to discourage him? I guess we’ll see in the days ahead.

Agreed. A wildly ‘disproportionate’ counterattack (not ‘retribution’...) to set Iran reeling, and wondering why they ever poked the bear.
Yes Iran is no angel and has attacked embassies in the past. But this particular attack by Israel was designed to provoke a serious enough retaliation by Iran that Netanyahu hoped would be sufficient to draw the US in. Instead the US worked out a deal with Iran that allowed them to save face without instigating a regional war.
