Former President Donald Trump argued Tuesday that Jimmy Carter had a “brilliant presidency” compared to successor Joe Biden, deriding his 2024 opponent as the “worst president” in American history.

“Biden is the worst president in the history of our country,” Trump, 77, told reporters outside a bodega in Harlem where clerk Jose Alba infamously stabbed an ex-con to death in self-defense two years ago.

“Jimmy Carter’s happy because he’s had a brilliant presidency compared to Biden,” Trump added “Worse than Jimmy Carter by a long shot,” the presumptive Republican nominee for president declared.

Carter enabled the entire Middle East to be destabilized when he abandoned the Shah of Iran.

“He destroyed black culture and plunged it into despair.”

How’s that. I just don’t remember what he or his administration did that affected blacks negatively.

I also don’t remember much about his “Great Society”.

I filled my Pontiac station wagon on way home from work...24 gallons.

Next AM-—NO gas.

Got help from neighbor-—and bought locking gas caps on way to work (Tardy).

HAVE had locking gas caps for every vehicle since. Still do.

Do people here need a course in how to speak “Queens”

It’s ver clear to me but my people were from Queens. I think Dan Bongino does a smattering of how to speak Queens in his podcasts.

Trump gets it.

I don’t know why I get so upset at FReepers who claim Carter was one of our worst US presidents, but I do.

I notice how you don’t see other Democrat politicians embracing Carter. I know that Carter had no use for Bill Clinton.

The thing about Carter was that while he was a bad president, he didn't fundamentally change the country. No Supreme Court justices. No major legislation. Pretty much his entire tenure in office was wiped clean by Reagan.

Mr. Carter did not appoint any Supreme Court judges...But, he still appointed liberal judges to federal bench...Like 9th Circuit...

Carter appointees, like Judge Stephen Reinhardt, made many liberal court decisions...

Massive federal welfare programs that eventually kicked black men out of the house.

Yup, and don’t forget Billygate when he became a foreign agent for Libya, was paid several hundred thousand by their government, and befriended Moammar Gadaffi. The media had no issues reporting the foibles of Jimmah and his family, but he was the last Democrat president they scrutinized and reported on with some objectivity.

I concur! At the time before that, blacks knew their place in society and the consequences of they screwed up. They also dressed in their best if they went to town. No pants hanging down below their butts and other crap they do today. No afros back then either.
