MOSCOW (Sputnik) - Russia will treat F-16 multi-role fighter jets operated by Ukraine as nuclear-capable assets, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Monday.
"We cannot ignore the fact that these planes are dual-purpose platforms that can be used both for nuclear and non-nuclear tasks … No matter what modification of the aircraft will be supplied [to Ukraine] we will treat them as nuclear-capable and we will consider this step of the United States and NATO as a purposeful provocation," the ministry said in a statement.
The ministry further warned the regime in Kiev and its Western donors that their reckless behavior was driving the conflict in Ukraine to the point of no return.
"The regime in Kiev and its Western sponsors should realize that their reckless steps are bringing the situation closer to the point where it will attain ‘critical mass’ and explode," the ministry said.
The ministry also said that some NATO member states were purposefully dragging the alliance into a direct armed conflict with Russia.
The ministry pointed to French President Emmanuel Macron who had suggested at several occasions that French and other NATO forces should be deployed to Ukraine to fight against Russian troops.
"These and some other actions of NATO member states indicate that they are deliberately trying to turn the Ukrainian crisis into an open military clash between NATO countries and Russia in order to inflict a ‘strategic defeat’ on our country," it said.
In this regard, the ministry pointed out that upcoming military drills aimed at increasing the readiness of non-strategic nuclear forces should be perceived in the context of recent warlike statements made by Western officials and destabilizing actions of NATO.

F-16s are nuclear capable. So are pretty much all modern US and many other nations’ military aircraft.
So are artillery as you said. Heck not hard to look up videos.
Suitcases can be (small or dirty) nuclear capable.
A van (yes like you see on the road every day) can be nuclear capable.
The key ingredient: an actual nuclear weapon.

Biden has slow walked beans, bullets and some AA capability. As democrats are prone to do, they never take a firm stand but are beholden to so many interest groups and their own self interests that they walk a tight rope between stances that eventually pisses all sides off. This morning in Europe, both Poland and Italy stated that their weapons should not be used in Russia and that they will not send any troops.
Macron’s whinning about 1500km from France is a Russian threat with missiles, but when NATO puts them in Poland and planned to put them in Ukraine that’s okay. Macron is essentially saying the existance of Russia is a threat to France - flip that statement around and Russia could imply that France’s warmongering is a threat to Russia.
The US is without an actual president and the donar class is calling the shots in the White Hut. Obama and company have destroyed the institution of the presidency with lawfare during Trump’s term and potato-head Biden now. Somehow they think not having an actual president absolves them of any future responsibility for what happens now.
This morning the British foreign minister was summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry. They told the British that any use of the Storm Shadow Missles against the Crimea Bridge or Moscow/Russia is a direct British attack on Russia and that Russia WILL make a similar attack inside Britan.
I believe the Russians. NATO is running a business and they rolled the dice against Russia. Russia has nearly 1m more soldiers than 25 months ago. The Russians have stated consistently for 20 years their Red Lines. They have been tramples right up to attacks inside Russia by NATO sponsored proxies, to include ISIS-K which is Obama’s creation.
I fully expect to see tactical nukes used on NATO forces West of Kiev simply if they show up.
I fully expect to see Russia eventually attack NATO countries as NATO ramps up its war against Russia. If I didn’t live a mile from Fort Liberity NC, I would say we have it coming and to expect it.

I believe Russia will destroy the airbases from which the F16s take off and land if used against Russia from NATO countries. You can bank on this. I think that is the plan. “Ukrainian” F-16s flying form NATO countries are to achieve the results that the “No Fly Zone” was proposed in 2022 - get NATO involved directly.
Are you suggesting those “advisors” had nothing to do with keeping alive and eventually contributing to the US increased participation? Really?
Read my post, having advisors in Vietnam through multiple administrations did not get us into the war, sending in 16,000 troops did that.
We have advisors all over the world and have for generations, they aren’t what causes a President to launch into a war.
