Putin’s crushing new offensive could be the end of Ukraine
The Telegraph ^ | May 2, 2024 | CON COUGHLIN

Missiles from North Korea, drones from Iran, and a massive amount of technical assistance from China. Russian President Vladimir Putin may complain about the backing Ukraine is receiving from Nato allies, but it is doubtful that Russia would be able to maintain its military offensive without the help it is getting from its motley collection of autocratic friends.

In the latest indication of the support Moscow is receiving for its war effort in Ukraine, a team of UN investigators has concluded that debris from a missile that landed in the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv on January 2 was from a North Korean Hwasong-11 series ballistic missile.

The weapon was supplied to Moscow by Pyongyang, despite North Korea being subjected to a wide range of sanctions imposed in 2006 over its ballistic and nuclear programmes. The missile, moreover, will have been part of the massive consignment of weapons North Korea has sent to Russia in recent months, with South Korean security officials estimating that nearly 7,000 shipping containers filled with missiles, artillery shells and other ammunition have been dispatched since December.

Iranian drones have become a familiar feature of the Ukrainian battlespace, with Russian forces using them regularly to conduct swarm attacks against key Ukrainian infrastructure. China’s support for Putin’s war effort is, by contrast, focused more on helping Russia to rebuild its military industrial base to a level not seen since the Soviet era.

The latest assessment conducted by the Biden administration prior to US Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s visit to Beijing last month found that China was providing significant quantities of machine tools, drone and turbojet engines, and technology for cruise missiles and helping the Russians to expand their satellite capabilities on the Ukrainian battlefield. Chinese and Russian organisations are coordinating efforts to develop drone production within Russia.

Definitely hearing a different story from “Con” than his previous cheerleading for a Ukraine victory any day.

US strategy since the 1960’s was to wedge China and Russia apart. Instead, retard Biden has driven them closer together than since the days of Mao and Stalin.

But the alliance is more stable now because it is based on mutual gain rather than just ideology.

China is dependent on raw material imports that Russia produces, and China provides industrial capacity that Russia needs.

Bleeding the coffers of the ECB and the Federal Reserve.

That’s the point of this war of attrition.

Chinese and Russians aren’t stupid.

FedGov is.

This is, what, the fifth or sixth “crushing offensive”? Wasn’t Putin supposed to be dancing a jig in Kiev two and a half years ago?

Thanks to a senile old man in the WH and US war cheerleaders, infected with the Democrats Russian Derangement Syndrome- we are toast.

I certainly hope so. If Russia took over most of it and left the scraps for Poland, Hungary and Romania, we wouldn’t have to waste anymore money on Ukraine.

That's definitely the new narrative. But, I wondering where that narrative leads. Give up on Ukraine and start war in Taiwan?

I think they are going to cut both Ukraine and Israel lose.

Support for Israel is causing them too much division within their domestic support coalition. And the inability to sort out basic problems like terrorists closing the Suez Canal is embarrassing an overstretched US military.

For China/Taiwan if you look at Foreign Policy, I don’t see the signs of the Swamp calling for war.

https://foreignpolicy.com/tag/china/

Frankly, I thing they have given up on Taiwan as well.

There's a power vaccum.

"There is a growing consensus that China, Russia, North Korea, and Iran are aligning into a modern Tripartite Pact, prompting calls for the United States to formulate a grand strategy aimed at thwarting this perceived Eurasian coalition."

The Wiki for this North Korean missile provides some technical details that I declare doubtful.

No comment on the report that such debris was there . . . in January . . . and that it meant anything.

What I will comment on is the details. 1100 pound warhead. Odd declaration of 100meters of Circular Error Probability for accuracy at impact . . . with satellite aiding. 200 Meters INS only. The declared wiki speed is Mach 4.

This doesn’t make much sense. The vehicle will have a hyper accurate input from the launcher at moment of launch. From then on, error that might accumulate will be from steering and sensor drift. But this doesn’t make sense.

Range is about 250 miles. At Mach 4, with some time to accelerate to Mach 4 (2900 mph), time enroute is well under 10 minutes. This is nowhere near enough time for an INS to drift.

If satellite aiding (Glonass) CEP is 100 meters, INS only is not going to be 200 meters. That’s just absurd. It probably won’t be much different at all from the Glonass/INS vehicle if time enroute is that short.

So this is a 100 meter missile according to Wiki. Also absurd. That’s a lot of error and Glonass is just as accurate as GPS.

It’s very hard to get good information. This wiki doesn’t qualify as such.

they’ll thwart themselves if given enough time.

Iran has never been more isolated in modern times. The arabs did the unthinkable and defended Israel.

Russia is paying 16% for money and has watched the ruble circle the toilet numerous times lately.

China is still as much 30yrs behind as it is a modern nation.

North Korea is and will remain the largest counterfeiters on earth and little else.

It’s such a shame that combined with Northern and Western Europe having decimated their military-

that the United States of America is more mighty relative to the world than perhaps anytime in history excluding the day before the Enola Gay took off.

By such a shame, I mean a shame for the hate America idiot class.

Why would you think that China and Russia are not bleeding the coffers?

Russia is paying 16% to borrow money at the moment-

China has $13trillion plus of debt.

they lose a war of financial attrition vs US/EU every time.

PS the genius commies-yea LOL- better get moving on the certain Taiwan take over that is never happening before Biden is exited. =
