Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin confirmed Wednesday at the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Defense that the U.S. is withholding a shipment of weapons to Israel over concerns about its ongoing attack on Hamas in Rafah.
Austin, while claiming that the Biden administration’s commitment to Israel’s security was “ironclad,” said that the U.S. had concerns about Israel’s potential use of large bombs in Rafah and had therefore paused a bomb shipment.
“We’ve been very clear… from the very beginning that Israel shouldn’t launch a major attack into Rafah without accounting for and protecting the civilians that are in that battlespace. And again, as we have assessed the situation, we have paused one shipment of high payload munitions,” he said.

BS wars we caused and which were entirely unnecessary, where we have ZERO hope of winning, we write near blank checks for to keep alive even though we could end this now and the outcome will be better than what it will be in 12 months. Our national political process is dictating the timeline in Ukraine. The end will come AFTER the 2024 elections.

I read somewhere yesterday (Powerline Blog? Steven Hayward?) that the weapons we withheld are precision munitions.
Whoever wrote the article quipped (paraphrasing) that Israel’s response should be “Fine, then we’ll use IMPRECISE munitions.”

The current administration has obviously chosen Hamas over Israel and America and over Jews and Christians. Sad, but true. Hamas protesters are running the show.
Jobama has no regard for any of the hostages being held since Oct.7, no regard for dead Jews or Americans and actions speak louder than words.

Washington runs on talk and money. There should be no question in anyone’s mind that Israel will unleash nuclear hell if they are threatened with annihilation. The Holocaust resulted in the deaths of between 55 & 60% of the world Jewish population. If anyone thinks Israel is walking to the edge of that cliff again they are wrong. Iran and the rest of the antisemites (including the ones in Washington) should keep that in mind.
