SPECIAL EDITION

On this National Day of Prayer and Remembrance, President Bush gave one of the most inspiring speeches in our nation's history. In one of the most stirring moments, President Bush said, 'This nation is peaceful, but fierce when stirred to anger. This conflict was begun on the timing and terms of others; it will end in a way and at an hour of our choosing.'

Later in the day, the President visited the destruction in NYC, first flying over the rubble of the World Trade Center, and then witness the rescue and ruins first hand. In his rallying cry to the hundreds of rescue personnel, President Bush spoke to the workers with a megaphone. In the highlight of his speech in NYC, the President had the following exchange with the crowd:

RESCUER: I can hear you!

PRES. BUSH: I can hear you too! (crowd laughs)... And the world can hear you... (crowd cheers) and the people who knocked down these buildings will be hearing from all of us soon! (crowd erupts with chants of USA! USA! USA!)

Fittingly so, on this National Day of Prayer and Remembrance, the nation and the world can take comfort in knowing that we have a man of passion and principle leading the greatest country in the world.

Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

"And the commitment of our fathers is the calling of our time."

This is the man appointed for this hour in our nation's history. God has given us a gift.

President Bush was INCREDIBLE today.
I want to say that I just THOUGHT I knew what this man is made of. I underestimated him AGAIN!
I am a military veteran, and my Commander-In-Chief has more than earned my respect. He is an inspiration to all of us.

Last picture in #24:

The eyes of the world are on the President, except for Bill and Hillary's eyes. Even Chelsea can't help but cast an envious glance toward a normal man.

I just can't get my mind wrapped around that many people, dying so unneccesarily, so callously by people none of us have ever harmed or wanted to harm. But seeing the rescue crews working, thinking about what it must be like for them.....that really brings it home. God bless all of them....the professionals and the volunteers. And God bless our President. Thank you, rintense.

Pic in Post#7. Now THAT'S a MAN! I love the one with the dog; even that rescue dog looked into the President's eyes with what looked like affection!

We went out at 7 as did many of our neighbors. The folks next door are both from Canada, and they came out with candles, too. She in fact called me about 6:30 to let me know that the others were coming out. We had already made plans to put candle lanterns out and leave them out all evening. But their little 5 yr old boy told his mom that they should put one red, one white and one blue candle out for America. What a cutie, and that's just what they did!! Her brother usually goes once a month to NYC for a meeting, but this Tuesday morning flew out of Boston to a meeting in Milwaukee. He got stuck there for several days until he could get back to Canada. They were reminding themselves to renew their passports because they are supposed to go there in Oct. and they want to make sure they won't have any difficulties getting back here. They were so upset by the attacks.

I was so proud of our President this week, and have been distressed to hear the Dems. and liberal anchors trying to find ways to diss him!

Today's speech at the Cathedral was the most moving presidential address since Reagan's when the rocket carrying astronauts blew up, or maybe since the Gettysburg address. We have a wonderful president. Did you notice the delight with which Laura and #41 greeted each other?

I can't tell you how many times in the last couple of days I have thanked God that Al Gore is NOT President. Amen to that.

At the end of the movie "The Right Stuff" an ambulance races towards a burning jet. Out of the smoke a man is walking, he is carrying a parachute and his burned helmet, his face is blackened and bleeding. The ambulance driver says "Look! There! Is that a man!?" Chuck Yeagers friend sees the man and says "You damn right it is!"

Like Yeager, George W. Bush is the man for this job! And he will lead us where we need to go. Because he has the right stuff!
