NEW YORK (AP) -- The 911 entries started at 8:47 a.m. with the words "BLDG EXPLOSION." Incident No. 0727 quickly unfolded as a diary of terror, as call after desperate call rolled in from the World Trade Center.
Excerpts from the log of the dispatcher for the Fire Department's Emergency Management Service were published Sunday in the Daily News.

The America-haters want us to ask the enemy for terms of surrender. They want us to "understand" these thugs' "perspective" which is essentially asking for terms of surrender.
I want us to fight this war until they ask us for terms of their surrender.

Dropping a large salvo of bombs (although it would be nice start) on the Taliban is not going to solve this problem nor will it allow us to win this war. We need to plan out a complete and total solution which will take years to execute. We are dealing with elements that are in dozens of countries with ties to all kinds of regimes and upcoming regimes. I think the Bush administration is doing what needs to be done, a massive response utilizing every capability of our intelligence and military communities. I certainly hope the mamby pamby's out there understand how important it is to properly fund our intelligence and military!!!
How much more proof do we need before we wake up and understand the depth of this problem?
While we have calendars of sunsets, beaches, cars, bikini's their calendars shows death and destruction! Can you imagine coming home and see the calendar in your kitchen depicting an airliner crashing into Manhattan, they produced this very thing in Egypt three months ago and that was the image for the month of September.
When you get a chance look at the photos coming out of Afghanistan and count how many people are soldiers and how many are "refugees". We see the "peace" demonstrations in our country and we know how violent those get - multiply that by about a thousand and you start to get an idea of those "refugees" - yes I know some of them are innocent but even the refugee's hate the USA and our culture. These people HATE us - period! They have had generations of hate driven into their souls!
Whatever we do we cannot let people in this country go soft! We need absolute resolve and we all need to be united to survive!
There are literally 6000 people that have been pulverized to powder, they will never be fully identified, never be buried, they were just spewed around NYC and the atmosphere like worthless dust and with absolutely no dignity.
We cannot show any mercy! We have to respond totally and completely. If we do not, what will we be saying when 600,000 are dead from nuclear or bio attacks.
They are saying even now that there are dozens of suicide attackers walking around in the cities infected with plague like diseases mingling to infect anyone they can.
This is what we are up against...a civilization with a 100 year plan to eliminate us and our existence!
Please document the source of the above statement. I would like to be able to show it to others...
I don't understand why a helicopter couldn't have been sent to take people off the roof. Helicopters were flying right up next to the building surveying the scene, and there was a helipad on the roof. The smoke was being blown away from the building, so it couldn't have been overly difficult to have landed briefly to rescue people.
WHY?
However, we also have to keep hanging our calendars with sunsets, Dilbert jokes, inspirations, cars, dogs, etc., because this is America. If we are not in the military, we can support them. We can remind people who do forget. Actually, here is what Mayor Guiliani was quoted as saying at a memorial in NYC tonight to the mourners of one of the companies in the WTC:
"There are many different kinds of heroism, and one of them is the quiet heroism of working hard, supporting a family and pursuing a dream." "Our economy and our society are built on millions of men and women who engage in this kind of heroism day in and day out."
I guess that is what is America is built on. People working hard, pursuing their dreams, building families and communities. But as you said, we can't forget. We can't panic, but we have to be realistic. We can enjoy our freedom, but we have to be on guard and guard our freedom as well. Quite frankly, what I have seen of President Bush, I don't think any of us will be forgetting this for a long time. He has shown patience and resolve, and I hope he stays the course.
