Sharon to US: Don't turn Israel into Czechoslovakia

20:40) Sharon to US: Don't turn Israel into Czechoslovakia

Prime Minister Ariel Sharon has instructed the IDF to use whatever means necessary to defend the country, he told reporters tonight.

He made his comments after three Israelis were killed this afternoon in Afula, and a terror attack overnight in Jerusalem in which two people were injured.

He also urged the United States not to turn its back on Israel in favor of the Arab states in the way Europe ignored Czechoslovakia in 1938. The results of that move were calamitous, he said.

There is considerable concern in Jerusalem that the Bush administration is allowing terrorist states to join the war on terrorism.

Bush walks the fine line betwen Israel and the Arabs. In the end, he will do what's best for the U.S.

Just like the Gulf War Israel is being told to hold off on its national interests for the sake of this unholy alliance. Israel may have to finally define herself outside of the context of American interests in this respect and consider Arafat, the Islamic Jihad, Hamas, Fatah, Force 17, etc. the object of its own war on terrorism once and for all regardless of U.S. interests. If this jeopardizes the relationship and the few billion in economic aid and short term whining and pain, then that will have to be the case. It's that or Israel will be defined solely by the whim of U.S. foreign policy and the further destruction of innocent Jews by the terrorist pigs which largely makeup the "Palestinians".

Maybe Israel should consider a realignment with Russia.

To drive our enemies before us, slaughter their warriors and hear the lamentations of their women.

Sharon might expand his comments. Tell us who freely elected a communist dictatorship in Czechoslovakia after the war. Who lead the charge to tyranny. And what happened to them. It wasn't pretty.

Waging a long, sustained war on terrorists while keeping the Middle East together enough to actually be of some use to us. A war in the Middle East won't help our cause.

IMHO, It would be best for America to be assertive in its foreign policy. We should give the Arab countries two reasons to oppose terrorism:

1. It is morally right.
2. We intend to make life worse for our enemies than for our friends.

If they come back to us and say that we have to promise to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict first, we should reject that demand. The two reasons are good enough.

Yasser Arafat is a master at talking out of both sides of his mouth--announcing cease-fires in English while encouraging the terrorists in Arabic. The "moderate" Arab states will play the same game with us if we let them.

At the height of British appeasement in the 1930's, Churchill remarked that England had to choose between war and dishonor. "We chose dishonor. We shall have war."

To sacrifice Israel to the Palestinian terrorists would be to go down the same path.

We don't know all there is to know, but we should just keep having faith in Bush. He WILL do what's best for America. I have total confidence in him. Of course, I'm a shameless Bushie, but time will prove us Bushies right.
GO GWB, GO!

What is best for America is to take no unilateral initiatives and declarations over Israel and let Israel deal with it on its own brave ways. Israel belongs to G_d, not to America, not to Arabs, not to Jews (especialy the bad ones), not to Christians, not to muslims, not to Jiang, not to Putin, Israel belongs to G_d. When will the world figure how important is the historical background of Israel and how Judaism is the last vestige of the memory of G_d, before Christ at the very least?

America should stay away from any obsessive collectivist tendency. That means staying away from collectively getting Israel shared by all religions, just as socialists want pain and wealth to be shared by all. Some people are decent and can be in Israel, others not, period. And as far as Islam, a moment of truth is coming, Islam is evil. The Islamic world will never rest until all churches and Synagogues in the world are laid to waste as they are being laid to waste in the Islamic world today through terror, especialy in those so called moderate states such as Saudi Arabia.

What is best for the US at this point in time, while attacked, is to go on a burned Earth policy. Contract, let the barbarians attack burned dirt, fake them into thinking Israel is worthless, in the meantime build up weapons and a strategy of counter attack and WWIII scenario (global war is more PC lately).

What is best for America is to have a Lincoln who will take freedoms of citizens and the world away, fight the war against the evil doers with the citizens forcibly enlisted, and then give back the usage of peace time constitution and civil rights to the people, JUST AS LINCOLN DID.

The Israeli gov't is freaking out because the USA is finally establishing some form of diplomatic contacts with countries it doesnn't approve of.

The Israeli lobby has been quite sucessful, heretofore, in preventing these relations. In my view, has been detrimental to our intelligence gathering on the ground in those countries by not have a official 'presence' within these countries.

The screaming from the Israeli lobby will reach "shrill status" very shortly...just watch and listen.

Bush has a problem because of US dependence on the Arab oil. Seems like he has to tread lightly.

Also there was some talk that Bush and Cheney wanted to begin strikes on Afghanistan some time ago and they were in disagreement with Powell.

Bush cites chance to 'reexamine' US culture

WASHINGTON, Oct 4 (AFP) -

President George W. Bush on Thursday declared that September 11 terror strikes on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon have given the heartbroken United States a chance to "re-examine" its culture.

"I see, out of this sadness and grief, an opportunity for America to re-examine our culture, to re-examine how we view the need to help people in need, whether it be in our own neighborhood and around the world," he said.

Bush's comments came as he made a morale-boosting trip to the US State Department and announced 320 million dollars in US humanitarian aid to the people of Afghanistan while affirming his determination to punish its Taliban rulers if they fail to turn over Osama bin Laden, the US government's prime suspect in the attacks.
