Mail boxes are either with us or against us. Ask it in arabic what it thinks about the Yankees & Mariner series if it answers KILL IT.

There is a similar looking mailbox in my neighborhood. Should I be concerned? Only if the mailbox has blisters.... but then again... it may just need a new coat of paint.

A bowling ball would be a much more effective weapon than anthrax! I would imagine a 16 pound bowling coliding with your head at a high rate of speed would be certain death.

The guy who dropped them in the mailbox probably drive 30 miles out of his way to get there. Just like Gary Condit drove all the way to Arlington to discard his watch box!

I've just seen a NUMBER of mailboxes in my immediate neighborhood that ALL FIT THAT DESCRIPTION!!! I am moving right after I call the FBI and inundate them with more useless bullshit!!!!

If they need any help, let me know. I have experience. Hey, that's a federal crime.
Just say no to mailbox vandalism.

Anthrax is however well suited to promote hysteria so keep on posting articles. Bin Lauden is rooting for you. Well, nobody I know is hysterical. In fact, here in the midwest, the only time I hear people talking about it is when they're making jokes of one kind or another.
So, it brings up an interesting question.
(1) As a "weapon" anthrax in envelopes isn't very good at all. Only one person has died.
(2) A lot of people have taken antibiotics. But so what?
(3) Half the Congress has shut down and a lot of staff people have had to stand in long lines. But so what?
(4) But all this could have been foreseen. Obviously anybody who knew enough to acquire the anthrax and put it in envelopes without killing themselves would have known that almost nobody would die.
(5) Then why was this large scale "attack" executed?
(6) Whoever did this would have known that even an ineffective plan would draw the full resources of the FBI and others down onto them. So why risk all this attention -- why take all the risk -- for such a "small" result?
(7) I don't believe _anybody_ would have done this flippantly. I believe _someone_ _somewhere_ has some kind of _plan_ in place. But I haven't even seen any good guesses as to what that plan might be.

"Mail boxes are either with us or against us."
Depending on whether they generate checks or bills.
MOLON LABE!

I'll bet it will be empty!

I would imagine it would not be against the law (unlawful search) to search a mailbox, ie culture one. Mailboxes are the property of the USPS, aren't they? Even though we buy them, they are not the same as buying a house, I think, and so not under the same rules...
Somebody fill me in on this, I'm just barely familiar with the idea...

Oh, yeah, THAT one...;)

I've had a scar on my wrist since I was 13, courtesy of my too-nervous friend slamming the book return slot at the library before I got the firecracker lit.
