They have no guts, no courage of their convictions. Note also, their intention is not to debate per se, which is at the root of FB's tolerance, but rather, it is to disrupt, make trouble, show utter contempt without even having given the matter any thought.

I did try to go over to DU, but then again, I used my handle (why the hell should I hide from the little bastards) and was instantly banned.

Ivan, thank you for posting about this matter.

As a former lifelong Dem, I always try to find examples of conduct that would make me feel proud to say I voted a straight Dem ticket almost my entire life.

Lately, I have been having a very tough time finding examples of Dem conduct I admire. And, with DU now eliminating your right of free speech -- without DU even giving you a chance to say ANYTHING -- is chilling, to say the least.

It seems to me one usually posts on a forum and THEN gets banned. But, in your case -- the banning came first. It's very disappointing for me to learn this about our fellow Americans over at DU. Very disheartening to hear you were just banned for: being.

DU doesn't have free speech; it says on the terms and conditions they won't tolerate any conservatives there. Meanwhile, over at Free Britannia....we tolerated them - this is the first time I've had to ban anyone, but since their express purpose is not to do anything positive, I have little choice.

Looks like it may be time to rumble with our "friends" at DU; but let me warn you my friend, those who seek to repress the honest exchange of opinions sometimes hide under a cloak of righteouness, wearing the trappings of Liberty while all the while worshiping at the altar of repression.

They are nearer than you could imagine.

Here's the thing. It takes me all day to stay up with the threads here. There are over 1000 per day. Then, at night I go check on the DUhsters. It takes about 30 minutes to read everything they say in a 24 hour period. Their board is DEAD. There are not more than 40 people who post there. So, they have to spread out around the world to find active boards to infiltrate. It's pitiful to watch, but oddly funny. They remind me of a crying baby who's flinging his food all over the room.
