But if we fail, then the whole world, including the United States, including all that we have known and cared for, will sink into the abyss of a new Dark Age made more sinister, and perhaps more protracted, by the lights of perverted science. Let us therefore brace ourselves to our duties, and so bear ourselves that, if the British Empire and its Commonwealth last for a thousand years, men will still say, "This was their finest hour."

Today is Trinity Sunday. Centuries ago words were written to be a call and a spur to the faithful servants of Truth and Justice: "Arm yourselves, and be ye men of valour, and be in readiness for the conflict; for it is better for us to perish in battle than to look upon the outrage of our nation and our altar. As the Will of God is in Heaven, even so let it be." - Winston Churchill, 1940

This then, my lords and gentlemen, is the message which we send forth today to all states and nations, bound or free, to all the men in all the lands who care for freedom's cause. To our Allies and well-wishers in Europe, to our American friends and helpers drawing ever closer in their might across the ocean, this is the message-lift up your hearts, all will come right. Out of depths of sorrow and sacrifice will be born again the glory of mankind. - Winston Churchill, 1941

"What kind of a people do they think we are? Is it possible that they do not realize that we shall never cease to persevere against them until they have been taught a lesson which they and the world will never forget?" - Winston Churchill, 1941

LET US GO FORWARD TOGETHER

They have no guts, no courage of their convictions. Note also, their intention is not to debate per se, which is at the root of FB's tolerance, but rather, it is to disrupt, make trouble, show utter contempt without even having given the matter any thought.

But Ivan, if they said it to Free Britannia's face, well... why then you would have the chance to level them with logic. You know the little libs can't have that happening.

Banned in 60 second? Wow, new record? LOL

I did try to go over to DU, but then again, I used my handle (why the hell should I hide from the little bastards) and was instantly banned.

Ivan, thank you for posting about this matter.

As a former lifelong Dem, I always try to find examples of conduct that would make me feel proud to say I voted a straight Dem ticket almost my entire life.

Lately, I have been having a very tough time finding examples of Dem conduct I admire. And, with DU now eliminating your right of free speech -- without DU even giving you a chance to say ANYTHING -- is chilling, to say the least.

It seems to me one usually posts on a forum and THEN gets banned. But, in your case -- the banning came first. It's very disappointing for me to learn this about our fellow Americans over at DU. Very disheartening to hear you were just banned for: being.

"freebritania are anti-choice as well. They seem like most conservatives in the fact that they are sadly lacking in anything resembling imagination." How much imagination does it take to kill a baby? I guess that sucking the brains out of an innocent took alot of imagination. Wonder what they'll come up with next?

Damn. Got something in my eye ...

A fine example of tolerance of diversity.

If these jerks weren't so mendacious, they'd be pathetic.

My avatar is Xena ( because she is a lesbian icon )

Did she cry? Yep. Sure, tears are as rare as scrawny biceps on Xena: Warrior Princess. But an emotional Lucy Lawless, 30, left her iron-maiden persona (and her trademark bangs) behind on her wedding day. "She really got choked up," says a friend. "It was the most moving moment of the whole ceremony." At the traditional Catholic wedding service in Santa Monica's Saint Monica Church, the 5'11" Kiwi beauty dazzled her groom, Xena executive producer Rob Tapert, 43, in a ]ow-cut, hand-beaded silk-satin ivory gown by her show's costume designer, Ngila Dickson. Lawless's 10-year-old daughter, Daisy (from her first marriage, to Garth Lawless), was maid of honor.

Ya know, DU is kind of like a traffic accident. You know you shouldn't look, but can not help it. When you do happen to take a glance, a gut wrenching feeling overwhelms you until you realize that the cure is to just keep moving. Fortunately there is a place (FR) to get back to reading and discussing issues in an intelligent manner with those who have more to do than whine and spew hatred against those who may have a differing opinion than them. Makes me a little sick, it does.

Keep up the good fight.

I saw the subject posts. The DU thread URL is above, and it is called "Are you now or have you ever been a member of Free Republic?" It is located in a section called something like "Conservatives."

Hey Ivan, I notice that their grammer skills stink. Sheesh, they can't even spell for goodness sake. BTW: I got banned from DU two weeks ago after leaving a reply detailing the vacant stupidity of socialism. But I was NOT insultng to those drivelling little maggots (OK, NOW I'm being insulting).

Check this out.

"And, whatever else you do, please DO NOT post from DEMOCRATS UNDERGROUND (or any other such trashy un-American socialist hangout). Free Republic was intended to be a socialist free zone. We've gone to a heck of a lot of trouble to make it that way. Why in the world would you think we would be interested in having their trash posted here? --- Jim Robinson"
