bttt. Note that William Patrick has over 50 years of experience with anthrax.

The feds lying to protect us from ourselves? It could happen.
This is VERY significant news.
If the source is ever identified I suspect the retaliation will stun the world. If a large-scale attack occurs, we'll start shooting every country with a lab......except China and Russia. Then again..........

A years worth of diplomatic pouches from just about ANY country could bring in enuff weapons grade anthrax (say, 50 lbs) to take out a city.
Imagine 10 committed jihadists at the World Series with one pound each........real scary. Drop a couple of pounds off the Empire State building.....5-6 other cities at the same time......
You get the picture.
I'm glad it's raining in Seattle.

Oh my God.

Can you imagine what the reaction of people will be when they read this article tomorrow morning? Highly justified panic. The only sane way to remain in an urban area now is with a stockpile of Cipro for your family, and a gun and ammo to defend the stockpile.

Patrick and that Russian are the only two who have any ideas what they are talking about.

William Broad. The science editor of the New York
Times. Game over.

"It's high-grade," said Mr. Patrick, who consults widely on making germ defenses. "It's free flowing. It's electrostatic free. And it's in high concentration." Let's see:
Free-flowing? Check
Electrostatic free? Check
High concentration? Check
So the only thing saving us from mass infection with free-flowing, electrostatic free, high concentration anthrax Our only hope is that the terrorists don't have 40 to 50 pounds of this stuff to release. Seems to me if they have the resources to make anthrax with these three key characteristics, they've got brresources to make it in a fairly large quantity.
There's no possible way they could do this right? It would require resources equivalent to hijacking four commercial airliners at the same time------impossible, right?
And of course the terrorists would never find any people willing to commit suicide by circulating in a crowd releasing the infection spores without conspicuous isolated breathing equipment?
I don't know about you, but I'm not going to any large crowd events, like football games or the World Series.

"It's high-grade," said Mr. Patrick, who consults widely on making germ defenses. "It's free flowing. It's electrostatic free. And it's in high concentration."Like I said, the letters weren't an attack. They were an advertisment.

"But if they have indeed perfected the aerosolization process," Dr. Zelicoff said of the terrorists, "it's strongly suggested they can do large-scale dissemination when they wish."Uh, does anybody think now might be a good time to intern all Middle Eastern non-immigrant alien males between the ages of 20 and 50?

The Administration does
NOT want Iraq in the Equation right now.
All their actions and statements follow from this axiom.

They don't want Iraq in the equation, because Iraq has a knife at our throats. My guess is they've known this since about the time Dubya gave his press conference.

"But if they have indeed perfected the aerosolization process," Dr. Zelicoff said of the terrorists, "it's strongly suggested they can do large-scale dissemination when they wish." So why haven't they? Why send the anthrax out as powder, with a nice cover note and treatment recommendations? Has everyone figured this out by now?
