An "explosion" is completely consistent with a mechanical failure which results in rupture of the fuselage of a commercial airline, followed by catastrophic failure of the fuselage (which resembles an explosion). Think of a commercial airline as a large egg with fragile wings hanging off the egg, powered by engines. That's how fragile a fuselage is. So the tin hats can retire, to fight another day.

From hearing what has been said off and on by FOX NEWS, there has been no one in the know who has said anything about a terrorist attack, bringing down this plane.

having done investigations for the military on incidents, I know that 50 different people will see 50 different things, and although some may have some similar sightings they will still differ in their accounts. So stingers be damned. I still say this was a mechanical failure!

As for being a Flatlander ... not hardly! But the air up where you're at may be affecting your judgement Nocturno.

All I tried to do at first was to stop people from becoming alarmist about the event this morning. Obviously you people enjoy it. No worries! You all look good in your tin-foil hats.

JoeFromCa, you are the only person who has responded to my posting that sounded halfway rational. Thanks! You were basically saying the same thing I had tried to say. Waaaaaaaaaay too many folks want to see "zips in the wire". Kinda reminds me of a kid whistling to get past the graveyard in the dark.

Bottom line is this folks ... you're gonna die someday anyway, so why raise your blood pressure about it? No one, except for Jesus Christ has beaten death yet ... and you guys ain't him!

Nocturno ... you say I'm not fit to fly that flag? Try this one on for size ...

It's also consistent with an explosion caused by an onboard bomb, or military ordinance. Look, noboby knows what caused the crash, OK? I'm just getting sick of the government deciding that every post-takeoff aviation catastrophe is due to "mechanical failure" before they even examine the wreckage and the flight recorders. And give the tin-hat rhetoric a rest---real Americans don't accept uncritically anything and everything a government official says, especially about something as strange as this happening when we're already in the throes of a national emergency.
