Western journalists also saw Northern Alliance forces shooting Taliban soldiers point blank and looting the bodies and abandoned bunkers of shoes, money and supplies north of Kabul. Paybacks are hell.

Just imagine - two short months ago these guys were on top of the world, dancing in the streets & shooting their weapons in the air. Today their mutilated corpses litter those same streets.
Somehow I'm having difficulty summoning sympathy for their dramatic change of fortune.

The emptying of Afghanistan's refugee camps will be a blessing to Pakistan, and will provide no place for Taliban soldiers to hide.
That's the good news.
The fact that Northern Alliance troops may be targeting Al-Qaida members for execution is the best news. Yes, yes, kill them all.

This is war. If they don't shoot these guys, then the Taliban guys will shoot them first chance they get.
Hmmm, Cheney speaking to the US Chamber of Commerce (on Fox News) just made a sarcastic comment--something about "If they don't believe me, they can go to Afghanistan and interview any of the Taliban that are left--if they can find any."

I hope the NA doesn't stop until they have executed at least 5,368 of the *%$@#s.

The writer would expect at least a parity of the numbers of US-British forces being killed, as compared to captured Taliban, just to keep the reporting "fair" and "balanced". The liberal media is a great believer in symmetry. Just not in reality.
Heads on pikes should also be a part of the display, particularly heads of expired al-Qaeda. Leave a few scattered around Kandahar as well.
