I really appreciate your recommendation of Dr. Seigel's book.

Glad I could help somebody else. I'm only a 3 month cancer survivor and it always "pumps me up" when I'm able to offer others assistance. Good luck to your friend.

Stick a pin in Palmdale, CA -- north of the mountains in Los Angeles County ... you are ALWAYS IN MY PRAYERS!

I have a good friend who is the Head nurse of the ER Neurological/or/surgical at UCLA ... I also remember that Clarity's better half has/IS a BIG "IN" there at UCLA!

Keep fighting the good fight, and don't forget to pin Whittier, California, on your map. God bless you.

Enid, OK checking in. We're north central OK, @110 miles west of Tulsa & @100 miles north of OK City. If you decide on UCLA, we're probably about halfway there and have a remodeled guest room ready for you and the Mrs!

God Bless.....

Getting too many opinions and balancing them can get confusing in itself.

Amen to that, basil.

Listen to your gut-feelings as they are usually correct.

I usually do, and they usually are. And the times when I didn't listen, it ended up being a mistake. :)

Please stick a pin in New York and know that this gal is keeping you in her prayers. I hope your holidays keep you on the hop and you're much too busy to think about Jan/Feb.

If there were anything like a FReeper "Pro Bowl," you would be one of the "First & Greatest!"

FEW people in our Great Nation would EVER have more Prayers for their Recovery than you, my FRiend!

Godspeed!

Doc & Noel....

Hey, Joe! So much information to digest as you make your decisions on treatment -- nothing is really easy.

I'm thankful that you have chimed in with an update and I know you will make the best decision for you and Debbie. I'm still sending prayers your way to fortify you until this disease is licked. And I'm certain it will be.

You know where I live, so stick a pin in the map for me. I remember using this technique when Bill was in Viet Nam and all the wives met at the local YWCA to lend support to each other and stick a pin in the map wherever their loved ones were stationed. It's something tangible that you can hold on to.

On another subject, you'll never guess who slimed the halls of my firm this past Tuesday...or, maybe you can. My boss came back to his office and said unless his eyes were failing him, he just saw Slick Willie, aka Bill Clinton, in our 5th floor lobby. He didn't think it was a good idea for me to check it out, so I called the receptionist to confirm. There were 3 Secret Service officers in the lobby and good old Bill was visiting with Dale Bumpers and John Culver (both ex-Senators) and going to lunch with them.

I did eventually go to that floor and was 4 feet from Clinton in the lobby by the elevators. He had been shaking hands and basking in the adoration of a bunch of misguided coworkers (unfortunately, I work at a very liberal law firm). He and his entourage were waiting for the elevator and one of his group was teasing him about being a rock star. Clinton seemed to enjoy that. He got on the end elevator to go down and I got on the opposite elevator to go up. I couldn't say anything, but I did catch his eye and give him a hard, unsmiling stare. He was rubbing his face and chin as the doors closed.

The secretary of one of the ex-Senators was busy, at 11:30 a.m., playing computer games and listening to music on her headphones when Clinton arrived. She didn't have any notice that he was expected. He stuck his head around the corner, checked out the screen and told her, "that looks interesting." She and her friends seem to find this a funny story, but it really doesn't reflect well on her or the firm to be goofing off during work hours.

I wish I could have freeped the creep.

Hope you enjoyed my mini report. Please remember that you are surrounded by the love and prayers of all your family and friends. Take care, Joe, and stay high atop the peak. FReep On!
