Thanks for flagging me.

He was surprised to learn of Glave's reaction to the program, saying that thousands of Dollar customers have been thumbprinted in past weeks and the company has received few complaints.

The sheeple willingly submit. I'm glad I refused last weekend in Las Vegas. I see they 'say' they are going to keep the thumbprints on file for seven years....that is, until they figure out how to digitize and sell them for a profit.

The card issuer refused to investigate it because it most likely involved parties over the border. They told us to just fill out the form denying charges, and not to worry about it!

That is exactly the way it works!! And Ralph's grocery stores eats it to the tune of $5000.

Credit card companies (especially AMEX) are so anti-merchant, that if I had a buisness, I wouldn't even accept credit cards at all.

Methinks we should beat them at their own game - any Freepers out there who are double amputees and thus don't have any thumb/fingerprints to give them?

Sue them under the Americans with Disabilities Act and make some $$$$.

I've never been "printed" and I've never had a retinal scan. And I don't ever want businesses or the government using this kind of tracking on anyone who has never committed a crime.

Let's move on. NO! I refuse to ignore the danger in this.

Please give me your social security number. You've done nothing wrong, right? How about your date of birth while you're at it?

I figured I would get some heat for my reply so here is my opinion.

Why would anyone fear fingerprints? They know who you are and where you live and how much money you make. They know where you work, what your spouse and childrens names are and your phone #, E-mail address etc.So what else could you possibly be hiding? The answer is simple...........You are not who you said you were!

People in that category should be very careful about giving fingerprints and only those people. That is what prints are designed to prove.Identity

What do you think of implants for identification? It's the next logical step.

You forgot that you already gave that info to the agent to rent the car Fred. Now, after 911 you need to be willing to let them know you are not carrying false ID. It's not a problem for me. I know who I am but they don't, I am sorry to say.

I don't have a problem if they need my thumbprint to rent a car from them. It is their car, and they're trying to protect their asset. They have a right to be assured that they'll get the car back intact after I get thru using it!

If all this bothers you then I suggest you hide in your house and become a recluse. Identity theft is the biggest rackets going on right now. Peoples entire lives are being ruined by these scum. It is not enough to just show ID anymore but to prove who you are. Implants would not help.Too tinfoil!

And the sheeple roll on their backs feet in the air in an effort to give up their rights as fast as they can!

Discusting

No body is giving up any kind of rights. I don't recall the right to not be fingerprinted mentioned. Go to any mall and see the lines at fingerprint stations for child ID. These things were not needed 20 years ago, but they are now. Besides, the gentleman in question exercised his right of refusal by not renting the car.

I would NEVER turn my child over to the government to fingerprint..never! Your home is full of things your child has handled....a fingerprint is not hard to obtain if needed

This is an invasion of privacy..what purpose does it serve? If you have proper ID they do not NEED it..I would take a cab..a bus or walk...nope this sheep takes privacy seriously ( No I never give out my Social Security # eithor)

Identity theft is the biggest rackets going on right now.

It's also the biggest excuse for the tracking of U.S. citizens.

"I would NEVER turn my child over to the government to fingerprint..never!"

I hate to explain this to you but here goes. A full set of prints are necessary for a definative ID. It is rare to get but a couple from a corpse so that is why the child ID system. Incase your kid is kidnapped and murdered, then buried. The chance of a positive ID is very good.

Fingerprints have been used for ID purposes since the 40s. They don't tell any lies about you or divulge information that the authorities don't already have. They simply prove that you are who you are. Nothing more. There is nothing sinister about fingerprints.

Sorry, but your kind of paranoia is not for me. I call them as I see them and this issue has none of the big brother type Orwellian legs.
