A Traitor in our midst?, Look no further than Tom Daschle
Various News Articles | 11/30/01 | Myself

It has become quite apparent in my opinion that the Senate Majority Leader Tom "Puff Daddy" Daschle cares more about partisan politics and the special interests groups such as the enviromentalist and trial lawyers that he is beholden to than he does about the welfare of the country. He is holding up every piece of important legislation while paying attention to his pet projects that have no relevance to the country's current situation. Economic Stimulus, Energy, Help for the insurance industry, President Bush's Cabinet, Agency, Judicial nominations are the main ones. SIXTY PERCENT of the goverments agencies are still staffed by Clinton/Gore people! Need I say more. This man must be removed from the position he has obtained by default not by the will of the people. I believe he comes up for reelection in 2002. Let's start now, freepers to get the word out about what he is really all about. If anyone has his phone/fax numbers and email address please post them so we can barrage him with what Americans and true patriots think of him.

Stopping Democrat obstructionists is job one right now. It goes beyond Daschle and Leahy . Chris Dodd is blocking the Otto Reich, Bush's nominee for assistant secretary of state for Western Hemisphere affairs (very important considering what Chavez is doing in Venezuela).

PhiKapMom has been working on an activism thread she should have up this evening.

This is a battle we can win. Bush has the highest poll numbers of any president in history. Exposing how Democrats are crippling the government in a time of war will not play well with the public. All we need do is keep the issue out front so more become aware of what Democrats are doing.

I don't care for Daschle, but I care less for people who fling around accusations of treason. How, pray tell, does having a legislative agenda different from Bush make him a traitor?

With a tip o' the fedora to Jim Jeffords, the man who single-handedly put Puff in the Senate's driver's seat. I fear that too few are paying attention, even post 9-11...if they were, Liberalism would be as dead as vaudeville.

Daschle will get his Waterloo. Some things just take longer than others. If you look at the polls from the people in his state, he would be handily defeated if he runs in the next election. (yes I know it is far-off)

The man is nothing more than a bitter, little, divisive, antagonist, who gets up each day waiting for others to do something so that he can pick their actions appart. All Daschle has ever done is nit-picky whining. When it comes to his own actions and achievements, he is really lacking.

Speaking of the next time he runs, I still suggest that Freepers all send at least $10 to the campaign fund of whoever runs against him, even if it's Donald Duck. Why do we have to allow the 500 or so residents of this tundra state inflict him on the rest of us? If they like him so much, let them keep him and make him their king or something. Sheesh.

Bush won. Get over it. There was more voter fraud in our country from the democrats and that's why Gore won in some states. He's a loser and always will be. So are the democrats.

That's an excellant synopsis of Dasshole, but the place to send it (and other similar exposes' of this miserable sub-human) should be the newspapers of South Dakota via letters to the editor. I don't have a list, but if someone could post one, along with email addresses of all the dailies in South Dakota, we should all become penpals and fire off letters about their prize pig weekly.

I've been up to speed for a long time about him FYI. I live close to Wash DC and have first hand knowledge via contacts within the goverment of what Mr. Daschle has been up to and his motives. I just want as many people as possible who may not be as well informed as a lot of the freepers are to know what he is up to.

And by the way, Bush became President against the will of the people. He received less votes than Gore- the true and accurate measurement of the "will of the people."

Both candidates campaigned on the basis of winning the majority of electoral votes; Gore didn't campaign in Utah, and Bush didn't in Massachussetts, because both knew they would lose those states anyway.

It's such a pity that Gore decided to only press for a recount of the counties where he had the most support. Is that "true" and "accurate" to you?

The true and accurate way to play a game is to follow the rules.

It's funny how much Gore thought the Electorial votes were just fine with him before the election(at that time he thought thats how he would win).In fact, he went on about it before the election.I saw it myself several times. Did something change after the election?

As for the popular vote,it was never totally counted. Those states that had Gore winning at numbers greater then their write-in votes did not count the write-in votes. In Califonia alone there were almost a million uncounted write-in votes. Where did you get the tally on those votes, that were never counted, from all states, to say that Gore won the popular vote?

How about sharing with us in detail, what Tommy has been up to and what motivates him. You being so well connected to the pipeline, need to provide us with details, details, details, and did I say details?

I find it amazing how when people disagree with someone immediately they MUST use the word "treason" or make them out to be sinister-motived individuals. I thought the whole reason we are FIGHTING the war on terrorism is to PRESERVE our right to disagree and debate, often heatedly, over facts. He who uses the word treason should re-read the constitution. If opposition members were considered traitors for opposing the president, or the other party, then we might as well be living in a dictatorship -- and I do not think that is what GWB, our founding fathers had in mind. We can debate. And if you disagree it doesn't mean you're against the country.
