Oh my gosh.
If UT wins, I wish them the best vs. Miami and hope they do well. In any event, Nebraska is in a BCS bowl and Eric won the Heisman and those are good accomplishments.
Nebraska playing for the National Title would also show once and for all we need a playoff system in Div 1A football.

The average freshman at NU comes in with a 3.1 and a 1050 SAT, compare that with a 3.7 and 1250 at Florida or a 3.8 and a 1320 at Vanderbilt. What's that supposed to prove? The average freshman doesn't play football at Nebraska, Florida or Vanderbilt.

Nothing against you Tennessee, but we need a playoff, and a BCS meltdown certainly helps. Agreed. If LSU wins, the BCS, although it runs until, what, 2005? will demonstrate that a playoff system is needed.
But MANY people are against this. Heard the coach of Oregon say on Sporting News Radio this afternoon that he is very much against a playoff system. I suspect that there will have to be some $$$ considerations to be resolved before any playoff system is approved.

Jabar Gafney.Receiver. Assault on a 15 year old.
I could go on. You see when a Husker gets arrested its news. When a Florida player gats arrested its FRIDAY.

Where will he be drafted?

Classy response. Did you notice my complimentary post on UF or did you just choose to ignore them? When did you graduate from UF?

Oregon coach is against a playoff? What a nitwit, after hearing that I am sure glad that they don't have a chance to play for the NC. Coaches like him are gutless wonders who think they have a better shot whining and lobbying for a NC than actually earning it. May Oregon never get a shot while he is coach.

Sorry, Byron Leftwich from Marshall will win next year. Stud city. Well I should say, should win. Randle-El should have won this year. But like Randle-El of this year, and Leftwich of next year--gotta get that TV time to get the trophy.

I was very surprised to hear that. Said he liked the tradition of the bowl games.
Let's face it. Other than tweeking the anti-Nebraska crowd a bit ;), it will be odd to have a team back into the National Title game, if LSU indeed wins and Nebraska plays Miami. With that said, I can't think of a team I would rather see do that "backing in" than Nebraska, but something needs to be done to correct the Div 1A football situation. The BCS just has not been able to meet some of the situations that have come up this year.

Looks like this is the national championship that nobody wanted to win. How many teams have fumbled their sure shot or solid claim at it in the last few weeks? Michigan, Washington, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Florida, Texas, BYU, even Miami came within a hair, and they still have another shot to blow it. Now Tennessee is on the verge, LSU 1st and goal at the TN 2, down by 4.
All you Nebraska haters, cheer up. BYU gave up 72 points in a losing effort, so they are obviously the most deserving 1 loss team, that's even more than Nebraska gave up, and look where it got the Huskers! Look for some of the computer dunderheads to move BYU to #1.

LOL! Who knows, Colorado may move up to play Miami for the National Title. It's not out of the realm of possibilites. And I would wish them the best.
Odd that when Colorado played Teaxs for the Big 12, there was not nearly as many posts as when Colorado beat Nebraska. Fair weather fans or what? ;)

LSU up 31-20.
If LSU wins, Nebraska should SUE if they don't play Miami!!! We demand our rights! Just kidding. BYU was stupid to sue the BCS. The BCS will implode all by itself just fine...

Agree Grossman has better passing stats. Carr has stats even slightly better than Grossman's. Crouch's running has to be factored in here somehow too.
Thought Grossman maybe should have won here.
To: VA Advogado
Grossman isn't a senior, that must be part of it.

Shane Matthews,Danny Weurfel,Doug Johnson, and Jesse Palmer are all on an NFL rosters. Next!!!
Listen, I am a HUGE fan of Florida, but they all suck in the NFL. None of them are bonified starters.
