What she's basically saying here is that these police officers and firefighters were just randomly "blowing off steam," and she just happened to be the target. She doesn't give any thought to the possibility that not only do these people completely disagree with her socialist, anti-American views, but they also see her for what she is in terms of character. In no way was this a simple case of "blowing off steam."

You ever notice that the 'Thing' always has that pinch faced look? Sucking to many lemons or telling to many lies? She never gets used to the boos. When you are so damn smart and superior you can`t figure out what the boos are about.
