Well, I don't blame them for restricting your account the second time, and then closing out your account. You went and told them the truth about how you felt. You really hurt their feelings...just imagine how that poor customer service rep felt when he (or she) got your e-mail where you told them exactly how you felt. You should show more consideration for companies and corporations, especially those where you're giving them money in exchange for a service. Shame on you..shame shame shame!!!!!
and in case it didn't come through ok - /sarcasm

Five-page detailed rants = ulterior motive.

Wally appears to be a juvenile. Look at the language he used. Childish. Like his web page.
Two kinds of people, the first tries to work things out like a grownup and the second is looking to litigate from the get-go. Wally does not seem like the first type.

I like paypal. I do some biz with them. never had a real problem. Once a customer complained, they froze a payment, I proved that she accepted the order by UPS, and they released the funds quickly -- easier than a CC company would!
Some of their policies are bizarre but I can work with them no problem. Never had a problem contacting paypal, and they are usually quick with a form letter reply (they likely have a system that scans email for certain words, and then automatically sends a reply based on what they think the subject matter is).

I love PayPal. I have had 40 purchases without a hitch.

I use PayPal all the time for all sorts of online receivable and payment uses. I love them. The one time I communicated with them, they answered within 48 hours, which I consider quite reasonable.
Their service sure makes purchasing things on auction sites such as eBay great, too.

Hey All Y'All Guys
This is great, struwwelpeter!
I tried to respond to the FReeper, Badodeo, on another thread and get flagged that there is no such account -- but my PayPal experience is exactly the same as yours, except that those bums still have my money!
I will follow your example with the insurance co and see what happens.
Best ones -- B A

<< Grief with PayPal. Tried 6 times to make a contribution and was denied 6-times. Twice it would not accept my CC# then i was told it was an AVS mismatch, whatever the hell that is. Never had a problem before, why now? >>
I tried to make a simple payment with PayPal [I have a bank account link and a credit card link and -- thanks to PayPal having double-payed one of my payees and having refused to repay the money to my bank -- a healthy, positive cash balance] about twelve months ago and was refused and told my account was frozen by its "security" department for "my protection."
I have spent countless hours during the past year doing every stupid bloody thing PayPal [When that arrogant bunch of bastards even bothered to respond to my correspondence!] insisted that I do, including having eMailed them copies of my passport, drivers licence, bank statements and credit card bills -- and my account is still frozen and my money still tied up and unreachable by me in their system!
From my experience PayPal is a very bloody shonkey and crooked operation!
Drop it like a hot potato!
And thank you all for your input -- and addresses!

I used it once but got the double payment thing as well. It was cleared up, but it was such a hassle, I'll never use it again.
Try emailing this thread to every addy in their system, maybe they'll enjoy it.

Lessee, let me get this straight...sounds like YOU screwed up and got pissy when they didn't fix YOUR mess immediately.
From the language you used, I do see why your particular incident would, somehow, fall to the bottom of the pile.
IMHO, I have dealt with them a few times and have never found them to perform below expectations or needs.
YMMV.

I loaded up both barrels of my literary shotgun and let PayPal have both barrels directly in the face. Even before reading further, I knew this move was going to get you a sucker punch from PayPal. Bad move. Business is business. They may engage in vindictiveness but there's no need to get emotional and send that kind of email to a business that was nothing more than slow to respond and actually remedied your issue.
You may disagree but that's just my opinion. I never would have sent that email. It served no good purpose.
BTW, I've been with PayPal from the start and have never had a lick of trouble with them. I also NEVER leave any money of mine in any of their accounts for more than 10 minutes. When paid, I transfer it.

Sorry struw...didn't notice at first that you ain't Wally.
Still, I think he shouldn't have poked that stick into the hornet's nest.
