From the moment I saw the first plane hit the World Trade Center on television, and went outside to witness, to my horror, the second one aim for the next tower, time became a ghastly blur.

Nobody could have seen the first plane hit live on television. It was shown much later on tape. Is this writer exercising dramatic license?

I, too, live in the area and saw the second plane hit from outside my house. Within minutes of the first plane hitting, our local (NY Metro area news) had cameras showing the scene. This was before 9am, while I was watching the morning news. The speed with which they reported and showed it gave those of us who lived close enough a chance to step outside and watch the first one in flames. About 15 minutes later we saw a plane coming in fast and low from the north and turn INTO the second tower. To those of you who weren't there, why don't you just believe the thousands of witnesses who were?
