[history]
Politically correct Army The political correctness of the Clinton administration may be coming back to haunt the Pentagon. An official tells us the Army in 1998 produced a "force-protection" video guide that lectured soldiers that terrorism was a relative term. "It is one of the most politically correct, apologetic, anti-American diatribes I've ever seen," the official told us. "You'd think it was produced by al Qaeda. It begins by stating that the 'Christian Crusaders' were terrorists in their time." The Army video also puts forth the notion that one man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter, pointing out that French resistance fighters in World War II were terrorists because they blew up bridges during Nazi occupation. The analogy is upsetting because the U.S. Army provided assistance to the French fighters, and bridges are legitimate military targets in military operations. "The video describes terrorists in the most complimentary terms, calling them 'highly motivated, very disciplined individuals who regard us as legitimate combatants,'" said our informant. "This suggests good faith beliefs by Osama bin Laden and al Qaeda legitimizes their actions." The Army video is not just politically damaging. It is expected to cause legal problems for the Pentagon and Justice Department in their efforts to prosecute terrorists involved in the Pentagon and World Trade Center attacks.

We need to get that video and have a FReep where we show it to the public. It should be exposed for everyone to see. The legacy of Sinkmaster shall continue its journey down the toilet.

Want to try that link again?

Just out of curiosity, does anyone have any idea just how much input the Sink Emperor and his minions had in this (latest) travesty? Was this done with their knowledge and/or approval?

I have said it as may times as I can. Some day, I hope that people start to listen. The military folks that I worked with and knew, hated the Klintons and the democommies. The Klintons and libs are socialist, thus communist, the very people we defended this great Republic from for over 50 years of Soviet threats. Daily, here in Sodom on the Sound, I encounter the crybaby, bleeding heart liberals whinning about the military, our treatment of the poor prisoners, the poor Afgannies, our nukes, etc. I nearly puke on these scum asses. The Klinton's damaged the military and it is going to take years to correct it. Short on bombs, bullets, training, equipment, and good people instead of fags in uniform have damaged our ability to defend this nation. I pray our people continue to do their jobs as well as they have been doing under trying circumstances and with the shortages. Hooau!

It's more than the legacy. In 8 long years Clinton was able to load every dept. in Washington with like minded cronys. They are all still there. It will take a longer time to replace them.

I wonder how long it will take all the collateral damage from the eight years of Clinton to manifest itself.

More Clintonista debris.

This kind of terrorist propaganda doesn't get introduced from the grunts, it's from the top. Have you kept track of the leaders since the days of the reported canning of 25 generals and replacement during Clinton?
I would guess they still need to clean house.

While I agree this is pretty awful, I have to say that it IS true that "one man's freedom fighter is another's terrorist."
For example, the French Resistance did more than blow up bridges. They also assassinated anyone they thought of as "collaborators" with the Germans--even if they were simply minor functionaries in the Vichy government--which WAS, despite all the diatribes, the "legitimate government" of France at that time.
Not saying they had no right to do so, just that if the Nazis had triumphed, they'd all have been executed as "terrorists." They didn't, so now the Resistance fighters are heroes.
So it goes.

I am still serving and it is true. A lot of our good senior leadership was gutted during the Clinton Administration. Generals like Granger and Clarke were shamelessly sacrificed so there would be no vocal opposition to the Slick one's schemes. What do we soldiers get out of it? A cool new hat/sarcasm. Things have already started getting better, but it is going to take a long time to get rid of the PC BS, false beliefs and assumptions we've been forced to work under for the last 8 years. I hope they promote warriors, if there are any left in, to replace the folks that Slick put in charge.

Look what they've done to the Army.
To: Illbay
I understand that, but "freedom fighters" don't shoot up a bat mitzvah full of nothing but 12 year old girls and old women. Cowards do. Subhumans do that.
There is no moral equivalence to the French resistance here. The only moral equivalence is perhaps to the Klan.

Help me out with Wesley Clarke, here. I know he has a history but why'd he support Albanian Muslim terrorist drug-runners in Kosovo -- his arm was twisted?
To: Ramius
well, ive got the faith. i think our brave men and women think this was all crap, as it was. our fighters know better. look at their overwhelming support for bush in the election... they werent smoking klinton's anti american peace (piece?) pipe. screw klinton hard, but all the military needs is our support, and more and more funding. for the most part, i think they know our cause is just.
To: Valpal1
Poor bill. He wants a legacy. . .

Wow, Marines are taking unoccupied airports and guarding unarmed prisoners. The Army has soldiers on the ground doing the hunting and killing. I respect the Marines, but don't even try to diminish what our soldiers are doing on the ground. www.davidtalley.com

I don't know. I do know that he was not allowed to finish his term as NATO commander because he ruffled the Clinton administration's feathers by pushing to have a ground force ready to go into Kosovo. The Army does NOT decide who to go to war with, we follow orders.
