Imagine that! The U.N. is Pimpin'!! Somehow, I always knew they were nothing more than a bunch of common criminals.

The young girls are from desperately poor nations like Romania. Many reportedly answer ads for "legitimate" work only to be kidnapped, taken across borders and enslaved in brothels that operate with the full knowledge of the local authorities.

I don't want to get into an argument about whether being a hooker should be legal or not, but this sounds less like prostitution than it does abduction and rape.

Wow. When a feminist idealogue starts praising the US, look out! Something is seriously amiss. Personally, I find the whole article very easy to believe. I would imagine, after all, that the UN presence in Bosnia, et al. is mostly made up of enlightened Europeans. Who among them will stand to repudiate an evil like this? Perhaps old fashioned morals (if there were little demand, there would be little incentive) are not quite so quaint an idea after all.

After Bolkovac advised various U.N. officials about the sex ring, IPTF Deputy Commissioner Mike Stiers decided that Bolkovac was psychologically worn out.

SOP for combating whistle-blowers. I wonder if she worked for DynCorp?

The UN is simply preserving a time honored practice in Europe. You know, to the victors goes the spoils. Anyways, who are we to tell these people how to conduct their business? Why, we are just imposing our standards on another belief system. We should be more tolerant of other people's cultures. I'm sure the UN knows exactly what it's doing.

Kathryn Bolkovac, an American policewoman, was hired by DynCorp Aerospace in Aldershot for a UN post aimed at cracking down on sexual abuse and forced prostitution in Bosnia. -SNIP-

DynCorp sacked her, claiming she had falsified time sheets, a charge she denies. Last month she filed her case at Southampton employment tribunal alleging wrongful dismissal and sexual discrimination against DynCorp, the British subsidiary of the US company DynCorp Inc. -SNIP

As well as reporting that her fellow officers regularly went to brothels, she also investigated allegations that an American police officer hired by DynCorp had bought a woman for Dollars 1,000. - SNIP

Bolkovac's case is the second against DynCorp alleging misbehaviour in Bosnia. Air mechanic Ben Johnston is suing the company, alleging he was sacked because he had uncovered evidence that Dyncorp employees were involved in 'sexual slavery' and selling arms. - Dyncorp's British Subsidiary Sued in the UK

Oh, my aching sides!!!

The UN is just plain evil. They show it to us over and over and over again. But it doesn't click in our minds because we think that if it really is evil that the tv would tell us, but the tv does not tell us. So, so we pretend that they are not evil even though over and over and over again they show it to us.
