I agree with your kind thoughts. REgardless of the tragedy of the Enron scandal, this in itself is another tragedy. I too hope others touched by the Enron scandal have a good network of family and church support. What is scary about suicide is that many times the family sees nothing wrong. No matter how many executives deserve jail if it is proven that they stole from the investors, I don't want to see anyone take suicide as a way out. This guy had a MBA from Columbia and could have started over again someday. My heart aches for his family and him...thinking there was no other way. How tragic.

Sounds just like when Clinton shot that Ron Brown right in the head.

Is it a Clinton hit??
I heard on the radio the guy was very upset about the "little people" in the company. And ... the report also mentioned the guy knew EVERYTHING about the company. Those 2 things combined could make him suicidal, or it could make him a liability to the Clinton admin. because he might be willing to spill the beans out of guilt.
Roger Hedgecock is not a conspiracy person, but he is already convinced this was a hit and not a suicide!

The only thing I would like to see is some resolution to this - we don't need another Vince Foster scenario hanging around for years.

What a waste. I heard that he was a 'whistleblower'. A good man. It saddens me to see a man driven to this final act of desperation. I can imagine a young man who lived in the fast lane, worked hard, owned a fancy home, car, probably married to a very beautiful loving wife and found great joy in his children, had a bright future ahead of him must have been driven beyond his inner capacity to overcome this investigation. If the democrats had kept their concerns as should have been their first priority and allow the DOJ to lead a criminal investigation into Enron's dealings and not go to such exhorbitant efforts to link the Bush Administration to Enron, or to demonize Enron into such a dark and sinister corporation in hopes of gaining more seats in Congress perhaps he would not have been so forsaken and lost as to take his own life. His family surely is crushed.
God Bless his family in their time of grief.

"They even are saying that Bush had him taken out"
Are you kidding?? This is outrageous - what on earth motive would Bush have?? Clinton is the one with the motive - and the dems know it - in fact, this is just another one of their "projection" tecniques in progress!

After 8 years of murder, after murder, which were all supposed to be suicides, I think most of us are gun shy about a suicide; especially with the circumstances surrounding the person who was shot.
However, the first time I heard Vince Foster was shot, I just knew it was murder, not suicide - I cannot even tell you how I knew; I just knew!
The same thing happened today when I heard about this guy from Enron - there may be no logical explanation, but I immediately thought - I bet they murdered him to keep him quiet.

, people like Watkins who are found with a bedsheet half-covering them and dead are involved in different sorts of activity than big-time financial scandals. The Denver story may REALLY shock the victim's family, but not because of large-dollar scams. They didn't say he was naked, perv ! They said he was half covered with a sheet. Maybe like someone had planned to move him, but got spooked? They said he always called if he was going to be late, and was an honorable type family man.
What do you mean by "people like him?" Did you know this guy? Police suspect foul play.
The usual single gun shot wound to the head, the gun still firmly in his hand, even though he just blew his brains out?

"if he did have something on Bush"??
Are you joking?? When are you people going to get it?? Bush had absolutely nothing to gain by shooting this guy (the worst thing the Clinton crud could find on Bush was a 25 year old DUI - what does that tell you??) - BUT CLINTON HAD EVERYTHING TO GAIN BY SHOOTING THIS GUY - and the scenario is so similar to that of Vince Foster - there is no doubt in my mind it is another Arkancide!

Houston Chronicle:
Precinct 4 Justice of the Peace Jim Richard of Fort Bend County ruled Baxter's death a suicide mid-morning today. Richard said the car was locked and Sugar Land police had to break a window to get in. He said Baxter's body was in the driver's seat with a pistol in his hand.
Richard initially decided the death was an obvious suicide and there was no need for an autopsy and the body was taken to a nearby funeral home. About noon, however, he indicated there would be an autopsy.
"We don't have any other indication other than it being suicide," said Sugar Land police Capt. David Marcaurele.
Mid-morning = no autopsy, Noon = autopsy! And what's the deal with a pistol in his hand? Is it possible to shoot yourself with a shotgun and keep holding a pistol in your hand??? I was always under the impression a shotgun blast to the head was quite violent - wouldn't he drop the pistol?

I can't see the entire house, but I'd put it in the $500,000 range. Certainly not a million dollar house, which is surprising for someone who had made as much money as he had. . .Depends on the part of Sugar Land. . .For other parts, the more-like-Quail-Valley parts, it's perfect. As a more-like-Quail-Valley person, I can say that most of our homes go for considerably less than half a mil!
A report I read earlier today placed his car in the 5200 block of Palm Royale, presumably near his home. That's the priciest part of Sugar Land, around the Sweetwater Country Club.

"Clinton's lawyers"
Ooooooh! I just realized that when you said it. I had forgotten the Bobsey Twins were heading this escapade. Soooo, did Bennett and Boise find out something incriminating on Clinton and decided to get rid of the star witness?? Kind of looks that way!
