We need your help! LAF against BUSH!

Dear Fellow Liberal: As you know, this is an election year and the fate of our union has never hinged more on one congressional election. It is our responsibility to block and obstruct President Bush so that he cannot possibly get anything accomplished, even if it's legislation that would help the country. That is why I am urging you to join our fellowship--Liberals Against Facts. (LAF) LAF has taken the time and made the effort to root out terrible truths, and promptly ignore them. For instance, here are some facts we are asking our members to ignore: -We realize it was actually Janet Reno who appointed a special prosecutor to look into Whitewater. Far from being unproductive, the Whitewater investigation convicted 16 people on fraud, including James and Susan McDougal, and J. Guy Tucker, former LT. Governor of Bill Clinton's, and Webb Hubbell, former Associate US Attorney General under Clinton, who went to jail for Fraud. Madison Guarantee went bankrupt and cost the American Taxpayers over $60 million dollars. -We realize that in June 1996, it was Janet Reno who asked the Special Prosecutor's mandate be expanded to include, what became known as 'Filegate.' To this day, no one knows who hired Craig Livingstone for the position of Director of the Office of Personnel Security. Over 900 files were found in the White House 3 years AFTER they were subpoenaed. -We further know that it was a three judge panel that reviewed the Special prosecutors files and records and agreed to expand the mandate set by Janet Reno, into possibilities of Perjury, Obstruction of Justice and Witness Tampering. Clinton was later impeached for these crimes by a majority of the House of representatives, many of whom were of the same party as the President. -We know that Bill Clinton did, indeed, lie under oath in the case concerning Paula Jones. We further like to believe no one is above the law. -We also realize that Clinton had 3 chances to nab Bin Laden, but didn't. We also know he pardoned 16 Puerto Rican terrorists who were jailed for exploding over 100 bombs throughout our country, injuring 130 and killing 6. -We also have read reports on Enron and President Bush, and as of yet, can't prove anything illegal has occurred. We know Kenneth Lay stayed in the Lincoln bedroom while Clinton was in office. We know Lay played golf with Clinton frequently. We also realize that just two weeks after helping Enron secure a very lucrative contract in India, a $1.3 million dollar donation was made to the DNC, just in time for Clinton's reelection. -Furthermore, while Attorney General John Ashcroft recused himself in any investigation in Enron because he received a $50,000 donation to his campaign, our former VP candidate received $125,000 in political donations to his campaign and political groups he founded, has refused to recuse himself. And according to CNN, Time and USATodays polls, more Americans believe President Bush about Enron, then Democrats. -Currently President Bush is enjoying a sky rocketing approval ratings even our media can't ignore and achieved the highest popularity any American President has ever had. Furthermore it has sustained longer then any President since President Truman. Right now, for the first time in the history of political polling, more voters identify themselves as Republicans than Democrats. -We also realize that while the top richest 1% receive only 17% of the income in this country, they pay over 34% of the taxes, according to a Bipartisan Congressional Committee on taxation last year. Furthermore, 50% of the income earners pay 96% of the taxes in this country. We also know that in order to receive a TAX CUT rebate, you should, at the very least, pay taxes. We realize these are facts, and undeniable, but we must, for the sake of our liberal beliefs, ignore them. We must not give in to these terrible truths. I am asking you, as a fellow liberal, to ignore these facts, and join us in our fight to rid the world of President Bush. Many of you have done a wonderful job of using profanity, bigotry and extreme hatred to express your views of our President, and we thank you. You have proven to the entire country that when it comes to spewing hate, you can throw as much hate around as any Neo-Nazi group. Good job! But we must not waver or those nasty republicans will win.
