--yes, I'd like to do it over there, but I am more interested in doing it 'over here'. I want the government rid of the corrupt influences and abuses. unfortunately, this would mean impeaching and imprisoning quite a few really connected high level people-QUITE a few. I'd like to see these enron-esque derivatives scandals go away, by imprisoning the market manipulators and their shills in the 'stock" community, tghose who promote fraud on a global scale as being 'good business". I'd like to see the global arms traders based out of the US stop being allowed to aem every dictator who pops up-or who is put in place sometimes by our own meddling. And another, we simply MUST be able to se that after 40 years, two generations, that the palestinians and the jewish israelis need separate countries. that's something that neded to be done decades ago. that's one of their major complaints, and by golly, it has some legitimacy to it. Put yourself into an islamic palestinian shoes for a minute. You have a choice of living in a reservation, or living outside the reservation in a country where you are officially a second class citizen. this is nuts, and it's helped give the islamic nutjob fundies all the ammo they need to recruit hundreds of thousands. this happened in iran, we supported the shah when he went down the road to declaring himself a royal god, we turned a blind eye to the abuses going on, again, making it easy for the ayatollahs to get influence over the people there. result? We traded some oil for creating a monster of a country.

If you look, it always ghets back to global big business, profits at any cost. I'm not against capitalism, or business, but I can say we need to really stop and think what sort of influence these really large pirates have with our national foreign and domestic policy. Look at china now, WHY are we financing the chinese manufacturing buildup, at the expense of our own manufacturing? All we are doing is enriching these communist overlords, and helping them buildup their expansionist military. yes, we get some cheap electronic things now, but those same facilities there, with the tech know how to build more, are easily switched to a military. look at the massive illegal immigration, why exactly are we allowing it? there's laws on the books not being enforced. Why? It looks to me like some want the short term profits from using serf peon labor, in turn, we get less national security, a societies leaders openly flaunting the law when it suits them. Who's calling the shots?

I don't have a good answer beyuond what the mission statement on this board is-uncover abuses, past and present, and don't have blinders on when you do it. Look at any abuse, any time, any party, anyplace. Start from there. Weapons of mass destruction and the middle east, make it so economically painful for them it doesn't happen, and vigorously enforce high tech transfer laws, and crack down on the wink wink nod nod that goes on that allows it to happen. We've been trading short term profits-for some- in exchange for medium and long term INsecurity. It's time to stop it, investigate and arrest and incarcerate some high level people, the string puller level,m not just the useful idiot level, not just the grunts, go after the officers. But, we can't do that, becvause they are in charge and control the government. They play-act at investigations. Catch 22. I have no easy answer for that. Put all brand new people in office, and make sure they aren't Ds or r's, because both those parties have proven over and over again that at the top levels they are influenceable. I'd like to see the vast bulk of the voting public reject this party affiliation and elect independents, who can vote their consciousm, and who can read and learn and understand the constitution in advance of writing bills, passing bills, and signing bills into "law". Make it a "high crime and misdemeanor" for a higher level government official to thwart someone doing their job-there's no need for federal cops-honest cops-to be taken off important cases once the trail starts to head in the direction of these really high level string pullers. it happens all the time. people need to go to jail over that, no matter who they are.

We fail to hold to the law high level people, then, because of that, weird and dangerous 'things" happen. There's the solution, change that, make the laws apply to everyone, stop letting the highly connected ones skate on this or that. Now HOW to do that, I don't know beyond stop voting for "the D & R machine", de fund them, stop transferring money to them. Decades of them saying to 'work from within" has resulted in-nothing! business as usual. We have the ~~best~~ worst government money can buy. Stop having government "for sale".

What you said is all true and my response is the same,maybe a WWIII scenario is what it will take to bring about these changes.The way things are now will never initiate change,it will continue and it will get worse.Our whole infrastructure as it is now is only a fraction of what our forfathers intended,it's the old frog in the pot scenario,we have gradualy lost freedom and the integrity of our leaders.I also do not believe in the two party system,it only corrupts our government.Maybe our infrastructure needs to be dismantled and rebuilt the way it was intended,memories of the movie "The Postman" come to mind.

Always interesting to see what the ancient geezers said. I thoroughly enjoy it. We have the Bible and some other books and old records written. And sometimes what isn't written can tell you a lot as well. The mayans had the most advanced and accurate calendar in the olden days. It ends in what we call 2012, that's it, they didn't project their calendar beyond that point, in our way of reckoning and using years of bc/ad.
