I doubt very seriously that Westerfield is guilty of anything (except stupidity in volunteering to let the govt take him and his house apart and take his motor home away).
I do hope the guilty ARE brought to justice, but I am by no means sure the Van Dams ought to get these children back. This rank of negligence and carelessness--it is a wonder they hadn't all been taken sometime ago, and just maybe by someone who would have cared more about them, and protecting them from harm, and giving them a decent home.
I also think that this mother either knows where the girl is, or knows who DOES know where the girl is.
I don't know about this man either, except that they apparently found a good deal of child porn when they did their search. On the other hand, I've read articles where his friends emphatically state he could not have done such a thing--but whose friends ever think they are capable of such things? I know my view is not a popular one (at least on some threads), but I can't help but think that the parents' lifestyle played a part in this, but whether a large or small part, I guess time will tell.
