I don't undersand Carville's presence.

Clinton dispatched him to Israel to install Barak so that the Israelis would bend over and give Clinton a legacy.

That wasn't enough for Arafat, but it was the end of Barak.

How does anyone on either side of the conflict in the Mudeast see Clinton or Carville as anything but cynical manipulators...

The fact that the media covers either of them is beyond me

Carville represents a faction in today's politics.

It is a faction that wishes to allign with the press, then influence this nation by its own system of business. Government is its business. When it is firmly established it will rule other businesses through taxation and regulation.

Taxation is a partnership with the government without any need of investment or fear of financial loss by the government.

If successful, this new government will be omnipotent and will have very little reason to be concerned for the people after it is established. After all, the only business that can put people in jail is government. A business cannot put a congressman in jail without going through the congressman's home turf and dealing with his allies.

This power is hard for the media types to ignore. That's why Carville gets the time.
