Bush Calls Security 'Serious Business'

Key congressional leaders said yesterday the White House did not tell them that President Bush has moved a cadre of senior civilian managers to secret underground sites outside Washington to ensure that the federal government could survive a devastating terrorist attack on the nation's capital.

Bush is one smart cookie. I may set up other offices for my company just in case and maybe even dig a few bunkers just in case.

But I do wonder why the title shadow govt. The only shadow govt I have seen is being run out of Harlem. Some impeached guy runs it.

This is so stupid. It is just more of the Democrap. They are so desperate to alienate support of Bush and his war effort that they will stoop to the lowest levels. We should be thankful that Bush took steps to protect the integrity of the gov't. It had to be top secret. I had no doubt that Cheney was not the only gov't official who went underground. It would not have done much good if he had no one left to issue the orders to.

The Democrats are just disappointed that the Republican administration would have continued, undaunted by a nuclear explosion, that the gov't would not have fallen apart and given the Democrats the chance to rebuild it in their own image.

According to Tony Snow it was reported back in October that measures had been taken and it was reported that they had set up bunkers. I remember the story about Cheney being moved there but I don't recall reading that other Government officials were there also but it makes sense. Supposedly one is not far from us somewhere here in Pa and that was reported in our local paper.

The democrats and their brown nosing friends,the left wing media are trying everything in the book to poison the public's trust of President Bush. This information did come out last fall but the media thinks we are all stupid and that we believe everything they put down in print. This is another great try at manipulation by daschle and the left wing media...and they keep shooting blanks!

That's the Greenbriar Hotel in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia. It's a corporate retreat now, and you can perhaps take a tour of the "Congressional Bunker" if you wish.

Such contingency plans have been around for decades. Apparently there must be a plan afoot within the lib/dem/media establishment to convince people that W is different in this regard than his predesessors. An attempt to make him look reactionary, secretive, paranoid, and warmongering.

Perhaps Tommy will tell US where THAT is; even better, maybe we can get Tommy to tell us HOW MUCH they paid for it, where the money came from, who let the contracts, and who they met with to come up with the plans.

We're entitled to know EVERYTHING, you know. If he wants to know who Bush and Cheney met with, I want to know who HE meets with, starting with who was in his office during the voting on CFR.

Larry Johnson told Tony Snow today that OF COURSE Daschle knew of safe bunkers because Litle Tommy Himself was rushed to one on Sept 11!!!!! What a lying sack, albeit a little sack, of crap Daschle is.

About two hours ago there was a commentator on Fox who said that Daschle knew about this. ALL leaders of Congress are briefed about this plan. Daschle himself was taken to a secure location during 9/11. He is, once again, lying.

I can just see it now. Tommy will want to hold confirmation hearings for the shadows, and conservatives need not apply.
