If the FBI is consistent, this agent will get a medal, just like the one who shot Randy Weaver's wife to death for aiming at him with her baby.

Federal Bumbling Imbeciles.

There are many people who would make really great cops, but for the most part, they aren't drawn to the job.

So, you end up with a preponderance of currently on-duty policemen who either couldn't get into the marines, or guys who got picked on in high school, and guys who generally need a gun and a badge just to feel important.

Sadists, mouth-breathers, rapists, criminals, tyrants, and microcephalic social democrats.

Just ask Frank Serpico.

This nation reminds me of a battered woman (We The People..) who keeps going back to the bastard who beats her (FLEA's) because ".... I (insert latest victims name here) deserved it because (insert latest excuse for justification by FLEA's)"

Sad.

>My anger is not knee jerk, but perfectly justifiable against a law enforcement agency that apparently believes it can operate above the law.

You idiot.

Are liberals "perfectly justifiable" in their attempts to ban guns because some home owner accidently shoots his brother-in-law coming home late at night? Should rifles be confiscated from all gun owners because some cheesehead shoots his son when he mistakes him for a deer?

A VASTLY LARGE number of law enforcement officers carry weapons. A tiny number -- almost infinitely small when held up against the total number -- make tragic mistakes.

Just as the individual hunters who accidently shoot their friends and families (or strangers) are not evil because they make mistakes, neither are law enfocement officers evil because they make mistakes. And just as the whole category of hunters isn't evil because a tiny number make mistakes, neither is the whole category of law enforcement people evil because a tiny number make mistakes.

The same is true, of course, for gun ownership in the home.

Just as the individual home owner who accidently shoots a neighbor or a friend or a family member is not evil because they make mistakes, neither are law enfocement officers evil because they make mistakes. And just as the whole category of people who own guns at home isn't evil because a tiny number make mistakes, neither is the whole category of law enforcement people evil because a tiny number make mistakes.

Mistakes happen. They're horrible. When people deal with life-or-death issues every day, the kinds of mistakes they make are horrible by their very nature.

But don't be an idiot like the liberal dead-heads who generalize outwward from a tiny number of gun incidents to conclude that all guns are evil or that all gun owners are evil.

Law enforcement agents are not evil. Law enforcement agencies are not evil. Yes, mistakes happen. Yes, the mistakes are tragic and heart breaking. But the only EVIL people are the people who use EMOTIONS and BROKEN HEARTS to further this or that political agenda. The left are scum to do it about gun control. The libertarians are scum to do it about law enforcement.

It's that simple.

The young man is certainly White.

If a Black were shot by a Federale, you know damned well that the world would stop spinning for the Black.

If you start building your 50 footer now, you'll be sailing looking at the sunsets out of the mirror on your iron lung. If you're really handy, buy a fiberglass unit in disrepair, and bring her up to Bristol condition. I bought a C&C Landfall 38 in tough shape, and the liberal sprinkling of $70k made her into a yacht!

Really? Did you ever read "Serpico?"

It's a book, a true story, written by a cop whose only crime was that he wouldn't take bribes.

His "Brother" officers thought he must ba a liability because he refused the criminal cash payoffs that all of them took. So they tried to kill him. Again and again.

Pacino played him [Serpico] in the movie. Great movie.

Bad cops. No donut.

Imagine if someone with a CCW had seen these cowboys coming, figured it was a carjacking or "wrong ID Mafia hit" and pulled out his pistol and shot one or both of them?

In the Marxist Peoples Republic of Maryland virtually nobody has a CCW permit. Glad I moved to Colorado...

After the mistake was known these soldiers of the elite Republican Guard held Joe face down handcuffed behind his back and refused to allow Anne Arundel County Police and Para-medics to render medical assistance for 40 minutes.

This at least deserves a reno like "Mistakes were made. We Bar-B-Qued them because they were small and looked just like chickens." speech.

Arrrrgggggggggggggggg!!!!!!!!!!!

Probably in a day or two the reports will be altered to say that the FBI "found" drugs or kiddie porn in the guy's house. Then the apologists will have the cover they need.

"...they left this wounded kid on the street, handcuffed screaming in pain for an hour. Not only do they shoot the wrong person they do not even call an ambulance immediately. If a suspect is injured by an officer then medical attention is given to the suspect. If it is a serious injurythen an ambulance and paramedics are called. This kid was not even a suspect. They knew the name of the suspect and it did not match the kid's. If collateral damage is so unimportant to them why didn't they just call in a B52 strike on the area of town then go in after with DNA sampling kits to make sure that the suspect was one of the dead."

You've brought up some very troubling facts and a rather sardonic analogy above, that is actually quite witty. :-)

I think the FR threads on this story clearly show a definite split between those who label themselves as "conservatives" between the following two camps:

1. Police-state apologists / fascist bootlickers / closet racist types

2. True conservative patriots who value human life and respect the U.S. Constitution

I don't see anything wrong with holding LEOs accountable for what they do or fail to do. When they act, they act in our name, using authority that we delegated to them. Thus we are responsible for seeing to it that they act properly.
