FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) -- A woman accused of hitting a homeless man with her car, driving home with him lodged in her broken windshield and ignoring his pleas as he bled to death in her garage, is not the monster being portrayed by prosecutors, her attorney says.

I heard clips of her "defense" attorney, it sounds like she needs a new one.

He claims that the guy wasn't in the car for 2-3 days, it was only 24 hours. And he wasn't asking for help, he was only moaning!

Her lawyer was on the news this morning, contesting the charges and the story.

He claims the man was left for 'only a little over 24 hours' and that there was no evidence the woman ever talked to her victim. He also stated that she took bad advice from her friends who came over to help then took control of the situation leaving her out of control when they dumped the body.

In other words, her lawyer is admitting to basically everyting in the story and only quibbling about the details.

The woman is toast. And her crime is so horriffic that her lawyer is not even able to claim she is being discriminated against for her race.

Well, the one silver lining in this story is that at least it happened in Texas, so there is a good chance this murderer will actually get the capital punishment she deserves.
