Lamar seemed like a no show when he ran for President in 2000. He evidentally was Governor in Tennessee in the past. Was he respected? Will he be able to run a tough campaign if needed?

Harold Ford can win? Here's why: if Lamar is the Republican nominee, Lamar will be hesitant to campaign "against" Harold, a nominal "black." Hey, before it's over, Lamar might drop out and urge Republicans to support "my friend Harold Ford." Lamar just can't bear to start a fight with a liberal. Now with a conservative, Lamar will fight you any day, but not a fellow liberal. I can see the campaign now: headlines will say over and over:

Ford, Alexander Agree.....

Am I the only one who believes Lamar Alexander's day in the sun is done?
