The state of Texas is extremely conservative I live in one of those extremely liberal counties --- you ought to travel down and look around at some of them. There's a lot of excitement for Sanchez ---he's promised free health care for every one ---don't forget how many people in Texas lack insurance. They get free health care already but for some reason think they are entitled to much more. There are several very fast growing counties where the main language is Spanish and those people adore Sanchez for promising to make Spanish at least equivalent to English. If Hispanics were so conservative, Morales would have had a few more votes. There are Conservative Hispanics but the newest arrivals definitely are not.

You are right on. I lived in Texas for some years and saw the mentality of most Mexican immigrants. At one company, they were all offered the same insurance benefits with a small premium as the whites were. NONE and I mean none accepted the insurance. We questioned several and were told they 'knew' they could get health care FREE at clinics and didn't need to pay the premiums. At that time, many of us concluded a majority of immigrants would someday ruin the economy and the system. It is happening, albeit slowly enough that so many uninformed Americans will not awaken until after the demise of states like Texas. It is time to circle the wagons, and our future as conservatives is doomed.
