You are right on. I lived in Texas for some years and saw the mentality of most Mexican immigrants. At one company, they were all offered the same insurance benefits with a small premium as the whites were. NONE and I mean none accepted the insurance. We questioned several and were told they 'knew' they could get health care FREE at clinics and didn't need to pay the premiums. At that time, many of us concluded a majority of immigrants would someday ruin the economy and the system. It is happening, albeit slowly enough that so many uninformed Americans will not awaken until after the demise of states like Texas. It is time to circle the wagons, and our future as conservatives is doomed.

Fatihfull, also many of the "poor" will not use health insurance provided by the employer if there is a considerable deductible or co-payment. They just go sit at the free clinics instead, in effect negating their own insurance coverage. The poor are just not likely to worry about fringe benefits -- they look only at the "net" pay.
