Michael Barnes is an idiot. H & R Block shouldn't cave. I will just have to send the NRA a few more bucks.

In reference to Bro' Roy Innis, who can't show any accountability that not only is black on white crime not addressed, but the same in regards to black on black. I'm a proud member of the NRA, only main difference, I have the brains and common sense to respect a firearm, and not crusise the 'hood looking to shoot somebody, anybody............By the way, How's Big Daddy "I AM SOMEBODY" doin'?

Anyone who does business with H&R Block is being suckered. That company is the lap dog of the IRS... Save yourself ever more money come tax time and get a real accountant to prepare your return...

You have Mr. Innis confused with Jesse Jackson. Mr. Innis is very much on ourside and makes no excuses for crime against anyone.

H&R Block shares slide on investor sell-off

...

Chris Gutek, an analyst for Morgan Stanley, said he heard a ``momentum investor,'' someone who had acquired volume in the stock a number of months ago as H&R Block had been going up consistently, ``has been exiting the stock fairly aggressively in the last day or two.''

``That does seem to be a specific factor negatively impacting the stock today,'' he said.

Gutek said although the current tax season was off to very good start and very likely will continue to be very strong due to changes in tax laws, the H&R Block stock had been ``under pressure for the last week and a half.''

We agree on plenty, usually, but not on the NRA. The NRA is a lobbying organization dedicated strictly to the GOP. It is not now nor has it ever been a 'civil rights organization'.

Dig me up something to show that the NRA was ever against guncontrol laws before recently. Hell, they endorsed the '68 GCA. Tanya Metaska herself told me so. My wife worked for their national office for five years when it was still in DC. She's the one who gave me the skinny on the NRA. I was still a member when I met her.

I'm referring to the national leadership, of course, not to the rank and file. Rank and file NRA members are almost all strongly on the side of our rights. The lobby's national leadership and many of their state officers are another matter entirely.

Having the NRA recognized as the outfit which speaks for gunowners in the media is a shell game. LaPierre and Heston don't speak for me at all and neither of them would ever be welcome in my house nor trusted with the knowledge of where my guns are.

We aren't too far off on this issue either. The NRA has done lots of things I don't like either. I'm just not ready to give up on them yet.

Keep your powder dry.
