You got it. And don't forget the UN. That's why Mein Kampf is a bestseller in the Arab countries.

Jewish law does not allow us to force the final battle. But I think it is drawing apace. Moreover, the government in Israel still believes in political settlements. I think they are woefully ignorant of the obvious, but I can understand why they want to believe there is still hope. It seems like every 30 years about there is a major war in the world. WWI and II were about 30 years apart, and remember that by the Yom Kippur War about 30 years later it was only by hair that the world avoided a world war. Each time the world comes closer to the brink. I remember that Nixon ( a man who really deserves the gratitude of every Jew) put all armed forces internationally on the highest level alert as did the Soviets. The world came that close then. It is 30 years later. I hope Moshiach comes in peace, but if through war, then that is the way it must be. I hope that more Jews realize how hopeless the political broken reed is and turn to G-d. The Jews, the Arabs, the world needs and cries out for Moshiach NOW.

Ethiopia is not an Islamic country, but to be fair your statistics probably date from before its onetime unification with neighboring Eritrea, which IS Islamic, had come unstuck.

Are there any Muslim countries in which Christians have lived in peace and prosperity?

You can moral equivalence Islam and Christianity all you want, but the fact of the matter is that there are hundreds of millions of Muslims who want to see us either living as slaves or dead. What are we supposed to do?

Nostradamus in one of his clearest passages says that it will be 57 years between WWII and WW III, and that is up this spring and summer.

As for the Messianic age, it would have come, and the Indignation ended, in AD 1967 if Israel had had the faith and observance to tear down the abominations standing there, and reinstitute the Temple.

God would like to end the Hester Panim, but cannot while those stand. A date is given in Scripture for them to come down though, a Jewish year, but it is not this year now running.

Just don't like to play "My God is better than your God", as that will only insult those who don't share our beliefs.

My God is the only one true God. However I have no problem being neighbors with someone who does not believe in God, as long as that neighbor does not want me dead.

It isn't the trees I am worried about. That word really means "bushes," and I am afraid a bush might tell them to kill Jews.

No ,not President George W. Bush.

It's hard to deny stuff like this when it comes from amidst their own.

Muslim Turks may have accepted some Jews after the reconquest of Spain from the Muslims (for their own benefit) but it didn't take too long for them to butcher millions of Christians living in Asia Minor and the Balkans for a thousand years.

Jewish law does not allow us to force the final battle.

Okay. But the rest of your statement...

I hope Moshiach comes in peace, but if through war, then that is the way it must be. I hope that more Jews realize how hopeless the political broken reed is and turn to G-d. The Jews, the Arabs, the world needs and cries out for Moshiach NOW.... is IMHO loony. I am Jewish and a strong supporter of Israel but by mixing religion and politics you are coming close to falling into the same trap as the adherents of political Islam.

Saying I don't like to insult their religion is not moral equivalence. Salman Rushdie got himself into a bit of hot water by insulting Mohammad's wives (or they took it as an insult). The pope asked Catholics not to buy the book. I didn't buy the book nor did I check it out at the library (if it was there or not I don't know). Frankly the book didn't sound interesting.

What are we supposed to do? Get on with our lives and try to live our faith as best we can in the midst of it all. I suppose we'll have to take over the world and try to tame them . . . sigh.

Obviously we can't wantonly start killing them all just because we think they might be wanting us dead or enslaved. . .

It will all end up in a terrible war or series of wars no doubt.

What am I going to do personally? Not feed my emotions of fear and hatred. They are very destructive emotions.

First I was supposed to hate the Japanese. Then I was supposed to hate the Germans. Then I was supposed to hate the North Koreans. Then I was suppoosed to hate the Russians. Then I was supposed to hate the North Vietnamese and the Cubans . . . and the Central Americans . . . I'm tired of hating and fearing.

This, too, will pass.

I can just imagine where you are getting your "facts" from...fact is that Muslims were expert at taking others' cultural and scientific achievements and translating and transmitting the as their own. Most of the so called Muslim/Arab math we hear about was simply taken from the ancient Greeks and Persians as they were conquered. Nothing wrong with that I suppose but to say that it was the arab Muslims who did it is just plain ignorant.

We say that we expect the imminent arrival of Moshiach any moment of the dayonany given day, though some are more auspicious than others. Especially now in the month of Nissan, which means miracles pallindromically, we can expect to witness miracles. In Nissan we were redeemed and in Nissan we are destined to be redeemed in the future. I expect Moshiach literally NOW.

All the times of prediction have long past, and it is the time for the kindling of the lights for the eternal Sabbath. May we merit that G-d hastens the arrival of Moshiach and the redemption of the world.
