Still hoping that Turkey lead the Islamic world into a new era of peace, prosperity, and religious liberty. Its going to be a tough job ,but someone has got to do it.
My sister who is a specialist in middle eastern affairs told me about ebay. I believe it was here in the US. I tried and tried to search on Google and find out more about it and can't find anything about the history of ebay or its development. If I find out more, I'll try to let you know.
As to being stabbed in the back, I'm not going to worry about it. I don't even know any muslims.
The only muslim I ever knew or knew was a muslim who had the most beautiful coat I ever saw. It was white sheepskin. How I coveted that coat! Better mind my own sins, no?
No,you were expected to recognize your enemy with your brain. Hate is from the heart. If your brain tells you that a person is coming to kill you, the brain may order the heart to hate him. The pacifist approach will not only get you killed but will endanger your neighbors too. If people are actively plotting to kill us, I want our government to act. You have terribly confused emotion with intellect. Very dangerous.
If you want to ignore Islam that is fine for yourself, but let others reveal the truth. Look at today's AP pictures from Lebanon. A mother smiling as she took a knife to the head of her 3 year old to bleed him. That is Islam. Blood is a major feature of their belief.
They have beautiful architecture. Wasn't the Alhambra built by muslims? I saw a movie where there was an old house in the south built like the Alhambra. It had fallen into disrepair but was a gorgeous house. Can't remember the name of the movie. Can't remember the name of Salman Rushdie's book, either.
Just about everybody missed my point. If a Muslim read the bible, they could find things objectionable. What do they do when they get to the part where Jesus says if your right hand offends you to cut it off? Most of us know not to take that literally.
We went round and round on another discussion group where some Jews wanted the bible changed to expunge references to its portrayal of Jews in a negative light. Naturally I would object to that but also would I object to using the bible as an excuse to hate Jews. Likewise will I not use their Koran as an excuse to hate them.
Blessed is he who will live to see those days, but blessed is he who shall NOT live to see those days.
And rabbi S said to his son rabbi E, the first sign of Messiah shall be as when two travelers have crossed a long desert. What is the first sign they will see that they have crossed it, and are nearing a City?--Why, it is a cemetery, the great fields of tombs, on the edge of the city...
Dan 12: And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great angel-prince (SAR) that stands for the children of they people (Israel). And there shall be a time of trouble such as there has never been, not since there WAS a nation.
The lines are clearly drawn. War with Christians and Jews arrayed against the Muslim world is unavoidable. We're just seeing the barest beginnings of it now.........but mark my words, that is EXACTLY what this "war on terrorism" will evolve into. It'll be ugly, but maybe.......just maybe.......Islam will finally be relegated to the dustbin of history where it belongs.
With respect, neither you nor I are the arbiter of whether or not the coming of the Messiah is nigh.
Zionism as defined by Theodor Herzl is religiously neutral.
LOL!

I claimed I was controlling G-d's will? Something is rather strange in your thought process? The only affirmitave action that I think people can do to hasten the coming of Moshiach is to beg G-d for his coming, encourage others to turn their hearts to G-d, and to adhere to the laws of the Torah in a scupulous manner.
We are way, way, beyond him. The Bible makes clear that the bloody Time of Trouble will leave only one-third of the world's previous population alive, and
that Tribulation is to last (some say) seven years...and some say a Generation...
and only then does Messiah come and usher in the fulness of redemption (geulah shelemah)...
Thanx.
