When I saw this thread I immediately thought of "Cider House Rules". I clicked on the link and there it was listed as the very first candidate. I agree completely!

COMING HOME, starring Jane Fonda, about a returning Vietnam Marine vet who's paralized from the belly-button down. He is, of course, THE nightmare feminist prototype example of the Ultimately Dangerous ANGRY WHITE MALE.

Jane, his politically inpeccible (read Bolschevik) girlfriend, welcomes him back by teaching him Deeply Appropriate Sorrow for his crime of having participated in a war, ANY war. She then of course teaches him how to... yes, cry.

Eventually, in a final triumphant scene, she teaches him to find Ultimate Sexual Satisfaction (is there any other kind?) by administering oral sex to her (read that cuna linguus) The scene closes with an interminable closeup of her orgasm-twisted features -- with screams.

ARGUABLY THE MOST HANDS-DOWN NAUSEATING MOVIE EVER MADE.

AND STARRING THE MOST NAUSEATING AMERICAN OF FEMALE OF ALL TIMES.

Any movie where Hollywood tried to make Clinton "look good."

Air Force One---Clinton (aka Harrison Ford) grabs a machine gun and defeats the terrorists

The American President---Clinton if only Hillary! were not around

Independence Day---Clinton as a Fighter Pilot who loves his wife (GW is actually a F-102 pilot who also loves his wife, but Hollywood hates that)

Dave---Clinton as harmless fun

The West Wing---Liberal Hollywood Clinton wet dream

You think the Last Supper is a LIBERAL movie? It's a total indictment of the way leftists think they can make the world better by killing people! They've done that through history.

The movie ends with them being completely outsmarted and poisoned with their own poison by the Rush Limbaugh type character, who is shown dancing triumphant on their graves in the painting at the end.

Nope, I meant "American Pie." I freely admit there was not a message..other than an all night underage drinking party ending with multiple couples getting together for sex would be chaperoned and condoned by an adult, and there was nothing wrong with this, as long as the rules of love and safe sex were followed. Before I come off as to curmudgeonly, I admit there were some parts that were funny, but overall, the movie was appalling in its content.

Planes, Trains and Automobiles

One of the funnier movies I've seen.

Why is it one of the most liberal movies of all time?

Agreed about the overall abortion message - it was awful! But if anyone gave a thought to that one line, it would blow any argument for abortion out of the water. Michael Caine's character was a bitter old druggie - you know, the usual liberal hero, hating life and unable to find peace and the will to conquer evil.

As to Lindo's "cider house" speech, one could interpret that as some kind of crude parallel to the attitude of our Founding Fathers towards the tyranny of England.

All in all, though, the movie bit - and left me feeling sullen and depressed. No wonder it was such a hit with the libs!
