[history]
It seems that Denzel Washington-who came to Elton's Johns party and spent quality time-either didn't go to Vanity Fair or put in the briefest appearance possible.
Why the Vanity Fair snub? According to one magazine insider, both Berry and Washington are well aware that Vanity Fair does not feature black personalities on its cover.'Halle has never been on the cover of Vanity Fair,' said my source. 'She's been on the cover of (People Magazine's) In Style, however.'

Was it really worth posting 4 times?

Finally, the racists who run Hollywood, advancing that horrible Right Wing agenda have renounced their prejudiced ways! Two Blacks winning Oscars! The race counters can rejoice!

I am sure Vanity Fair Magazine is not crying over them. I wouldn't if I were them. They had enough stars going to their party that they probably didn't even notice.

Interesting how we some still keeping score after the 'elightenment' of having two balck winners last night.
So much for no grudges.
To: Owl_Eagle
It looks like the race counters have switched to the other side of ths aisle.

Ah, yes, rampant black racism -- the hate that previously could not say its name -- is finally coming out into the open, front and center.
Brace yourselves, folks. If you like what they are doing in zimbabwe, you'll love what the majority of black people have in store for the US. (For a quick preview, just take a after dark walk through just about any American inner city.)

Sounds like Jesse Jackson but with some subtlety and a rack.

LOL, what a couple of whiners, especially from the one that definitely was given the Oscar instead of earning it, Denzel Washington. LOL
To: elwoodp
I assume the snub list is long for Halle and this will not the the first organization to feel the 'reverse racism'.
To: Thebaddog
She's a lot better looking that Jesse, that's for sure!
To: dougherty
Denzel probably was given the Oscar for 'The Hurricane' two years ago.
To: codebreaker
She is hot !!!! Jesse is "hot pants" :)

I hear that Halle Berry has a white mother who raised her in a middle class neighborhood alone after her father left them when she was only 3 or 4.
Maybe just maybe Vanity Fair is not interested in Halle Berry because they have so many women to pick from.????? ya think? It ain't all about race everytime.

Your title should read "Oscar Whiners"
To: codebreaker
Yikes! 4 of them.
To: linn37
Yep. Halle was raised rich, she is not from the 'hood-but knows seems to know how to honor a grudge.
To: SCOOGIE
Maybe Al Sharpton can take up Halle and Denzel's cause against racist magazines.

You are admitting he didn't deserve it for Training Day. The award should be given to the one that deserves it the most, but that was not the case last night. I don't have a problem with Halle Berry winning (though she made an ass of herself), but Denzel Washington was not deserving for his performance in Training Day.
