I have no alternative. I think what we are doing is right. I was just using a kind of 50s scenario at the box office as opposed to Vietnam or even Bosnia where our servicemen did the job and either got negative reactions or none at all. It was hopeful thinking that our boys could go out there and with political and national support get the job done and come home heroes. ...and live happily everafter.

What did you think I meant?

Oh, now, that's just cold.

'Sides, I don't have the car. The wife does. And she's on vacation, taking a day off with my mom. Shopping. So you need to consider that I'll probably need all the money I can get in the very near future.

"You're right my god it's been all of 7 months and nothings been done."

How long do you suppose it should take before we begin at least some of the measures I mention? A year? Two? Five?

Please tell us.

Watching Flight 93's volunteer army from the cockpit, one of the hijackers choked out his own two-word sentence: "They're coming."

I think this phrase is consistent with referring to Air Force F-15/16s that shot the plane down (IMO).

As the terrorist peered through the cockpit door and contemplated what he had unleashed, he didn't laugh or smirk, or rant or pray. Instead, he conveyed a desperate warning to his fellow murderers: "They're coming," he gasped. And perhaps for the first time since his terrorist cell planned and launched its attack on America, he felt fear — "

Not to sound rude, but this trash writing reads like something out of Readers Digest.

Does the writer realy want to be in the Terrorist's mind? Why does he pretend with this non-sense?

We are still in denial...and it will take another attack or two--an American city turned to dust, thousands or millions killed--before we get serious.

A wish I didn't agree bump.

"Yes, the sleeping giant has been awakened!"

I beg to cordially differ: The sleeping giant just swatted a ant that bit it while it slept. But the giant hasn't yet roused itself to full wakefullness in order to decimate the mound and kill ALL the ants!

We keep hearing that this is just the beginning and I believe this is true. We'll know we're fully awake when every man and woman in our country can identify their part in the sacrifice for this effort. Right now, most people are going about their daily lives with little, if any, thought of the war effort and their part in it.

"We're coming..."

Click here for my favorite image since 9/11. WARNING: Contains one really bad word, but it seems appropriate.

Those Arab maroons better remember something. When we get angry, Terrible Things Happen:

This is what our enemies look like, after we're done with them. We're coming, all right.

Thanks. I was beginning to feel patriotic and proud of my country. I needed that shot of cynicism. Morale boosts are overrated, anyway.

Sorry about the cynicism comment, I misunderstood. I have about had it with the morale-busting cynics that populate this forum. These people don't understand we have a large battle ahead (specifically, campaign 2002) and cynics are never winners. There are awards for just about everything these days, but there'll never be an award for cynicism.
