Second synagogue attacked in Belgium
IRNA ^ | April 4 2002

Brussels, April 4, IRNA -- A synagogue in the Belgian port city of Antwerp was attacked Wednesday when two Molotov cocktails were thrown at the building.

The attack comes three days after a similar incident in Brussels. The bombs burned out on the pavement and damage to the synagogue in Antwerp, known for its diamond trade, was minimal, local RVI radio reported.

No one has claimed responsibility for the attack.

At an emergency meeting Antwerp police decided to step up patrols in neighborhoods popular with Jewish residents.

The incident follows an attack on a synagogue in Anderlecht district of Brussels over the weekend and similar attacks on Jewish religious buildings throughout France.

When do the Mosque burnings start? Or maybe the Islamics are the only people anti-social
enough to burn churches?

Belgian synagogue hit by Molotov cocktails
Swissinfo

BRUSSELS (Reuters) - Unidentified attackers have hurled petrol bombs at a synagogue in the port of Antwerp, but the latest in a spate of attacks on Jewish targets across Europe caused little damage and injured no one.

"A window was broken and two Molotov cocktails burned out in the street," said Dominique Riyniars, a spokeswoman for the Antwerp public prosecutor's office.

She said it was too early to say whether the incident was related to an attack on another synagogue in Brussels, which was firebombed on Sunday night, also with no injuries.

The new attack took place in the heart of a Jewish area in Antwerp, famed for its trade in diamonds. About 20,000 Jews live in the city, Belgium's second largest.

Worsening violence in the Middle East has fuelled fears of a rise in anti-Semitism, prompting Belgian police to step up security patrols around synagogues.

Across France, several synagogues, a Jewish cemetery and a Jewish butcher's shop have been attacked in the last week.

Excuse me, did we take a trip back into time to Germany during the 1930's/40's?

Wonder how many of these synagogue burners have or will fly to Israel to protect their beloved Arafatty?

We are seeing the reality of the dark underside of the left wing perverted beasts.

Sounds like some of the Eurotrash want to relive the glory days of the early 40's.

Are they cowards, and want to show their Muslim masters that they will not oppose them, or are they really anti-semitic bastards?

If I were a jew I would get a conceal-and-carry license and start packing if I wasn't already.

Oh, I'm sorry, we're talking about Europe.....

If I were a jew I'd start thinking about getting the hell out. Either that or start scoping out the sewer system for future accomodations.

These attacks are carried out by North-Africans. They are numerous in Antwerp and live next to the Jewish quarter. THere were voilent clashes with the Moroccans/Algerians and the police during a protest.

From muslim-canada.org:

Last year, seven percent of babies born in European Union countries were Muslims. In Brussels, the figure was a staggering 57 percent. Islam is already the second religion of almost every European state - the only exceptions being those European countries such as Azerbaijan and Albania where it is the majority religion. If current trends continue, then an overall ten percent of European nationals will be Muslim by the year 2020.

I believe the "57 percent" birth stat applies to 1998, four years ago...

Tell me about it. I live in the Netherlands. Here in our second largest city, Rotterdam (more than 600.000 citizens) 42% are immigrants. The part of the city where 90% of the inhabitants are Turkish (Kurds) is also know as 'Istanbul besides the Maas (a river)'.

Thanks for the clarification. Just how do the Europeans feel about the Jews in Belgium?

I cannot speak for the Belgiums, but here in the Netherlands, Jews were always welcome. During WWII a lot of Dutch people gave Jews a hiding place and even a general strike was called in support of the Jews.

But the left here like the Palestinians more and did everything to blacken Israel.

But lately a lot of people who first hated Jews started to gather on their side! People do not longer believe the lies of the left and see for theirselves that Israel is not the aggressor like they were led to believe.

That sounds encouraging. I retract my Eurotrash characterization and apologize.

No need to apologize. And you can keep on bashing Euros. I may be one, but I also bash at them. Many of them deserve it. They need to stop act so PC!

Yet again, Euroturd anti-semites demonstrate why the state of Israel is essential to the survival of European Jews. Jews cannot, now or ever, trust their lives and property to the protection of any Euroturd government. The Jews of Europe will always need a welcoming place of refuge and Israel is that place.

It's not the fault of the european people, it's the fault of their socialist leaders. The idea of a kind, wonderful world where everyone gets along is not at all realistic. They continue to spout such utopian bilge and the people believe it because they want to believe it. The realities of the world are really quite different.

The european people had better wake up or they are going to find themselves the victems.

Oh, I'm sorry, we're talking about Europe.....

Exactly. Take note anyone (probably no FR people) who thinks gun control is a great idea. Once again, the Jews of Europe find themselves unarmed. This is what happened last time.
