Prayer request
Vanity/self | April 7, 2002 | ASOC

Posted on 04/07/2002 11:31:52 PM PDT by ASOC

Hope I have done this correctly - Been on FR for some time and even post once in a while.

My brother - in -law is fighting cancer, he has good docters and all, but is not progressing. He and my sister are full time police officers and this is adding stress to their family like you would not believe.

My prayer and fasting does not seem to be helping, so I thought it best to try and ask (in very humble tones) for some help in the prayer department.

Neil works in a large Southwestern city (pardon the lack of details, I'm sure you will understand) and is holding up as only a Marine vetern can.

Please remember him in your daily prayers. I'll be visitng him next week (I live in AK) and will report back to those who ask.

Thanks & God bless you for the help.

Adding Neil to my prayer list. May he and his wife find the peace that passes understanding as they deal with this crisis. And prayers for you, too, ASOC!

Done, and I know sometimes it seems like "the line is busy" when you call on God- try to not be too discouraged.

Cancer is a tough diagnosis, and some types are very tough indeed.
I will pray for the Holy Spirit to bring peace and comfort to you and your family and to bring faith and trust that the Lord has chosen this path for you all to trod for a reason.
You can also ask for referral to the best university medical centers to get a second opinion about how best to treat the particular type of cancer you all are fighting.
Love to you all.

I pray his cancer dies. I pray that the way the truth and the life, comes alive in his body... and that his journey through the valley of the shadow of death, keeps the light of the world in his focus. God Bless and bring healing to your Brother.

Please tell Neil I thank him from the bottom of my heart for his service to our country. He and your family will be added to my prayer list.

God bless you for your faithfulness in praying and fasting for Neil. I'd like to echo backhoe's sentiment, sometimes it seems like "the line is busy" when you call on God- try to not be too discouraged.

Matthew 21:21
Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.

Hold fast to HIS promises.
