A group of Republican students at Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y., were forced to apologize for posters they distributed on campus referring to feminists as "feminazis" and insisting that "Nuremberg is coming," reports the Cornell Review.
The posters, advertising an upcoming speech by anti-abortion activist Bay Buchanan, were called hateful and capable of inciting violence on campus. The administration initially removed them from bulletin boards, but replaced them after charges of censorship were leveled.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! What a laughable moron. Lets see..Pell Grants..Stafford Loans..Perkins Loans..and whats that you say?? The students wont be able to attend without these aids?
The govt owns you lock, stock, and barrel sweetie. Take away the funding of ANY "private" school in the United States, and see how long they last. Ahh, Jimmy Carter knew what he was doing when he formed the DOE way back when.
If you are smart enough to get into Cornell, Harvard, or Yale, then you should be smart enough to stay out.
Axiomatic statement of the century, IMHO.
LOL. Walk through the Commons wearing that T-shirt and carrying that tote bag and you'll quickly find out how tolerant of "diversity" Ithacans really are!
Ah, they're all a bunch of PACIFISTS (read:weak wristed cowards), remember?
Sure, there'll be a few dirty looks, and maybe the snide comment, but that'll be it.
I remember wearing a t-shirt in Uris library in the 1980s with a picture of the bombing of Hanoi and the phrase "those who long for peace must prepare for war" on it and that's pretty much the only response I got.
Finals.
As I recall, the social conscience takes a bit of dip in May. Wouldn't want to flunk out and have to enter the real world, after all...
I would agree. The constitution's, both federal and state, apply to governments. They are to limit government's power and enumerate individual rights, that government's must respect and adhere to. The constitution's have no jurisdiction on private property and on private property owners.
That being said:
Ms. Baker, just remember your remark when I refuse to hire you because you are a woman, who attended Ithaca College or that you attended any college at all, since most colleges are socialist training camps, because my business is private property.
Remember your remark when you are refused membership in my country club or business club or social club that is designated for men only because your are a woman, again because the club is private property.
Remember your remark when I refused to rent or evict you from my rental property because you wish to co-habitate with another man without being married because my apartment is private property.
Remember your remark when I refuse to bargain with your union and fire all of you union members because my business is private property.
Remember your remark when I require all woman who work at my business to wear mini skirts and that they will be paid at half the rate of men because my business is private property.
The list can go on and on...
LOL!!! Great stuff!
Especially the "Evil Jr. Baby Doll T-Shirt." LOL. Nice touch!
Think I'll get some of this stuff and send it to Mayor Cohen, etc.
BTW, I can't figure out what the letter "I" is in Ithaca and Evil. What is it?
If anyone was wondering whatever happened to the Clinton Legacy, look no further. |
It's a waterfall, as per the original:
Wellnow, this is a college campus - jeans are part of the unofficial uniform that students will wear on any given day anyway. So it's the perfect sort of show of solidarity - on "Gay Jeans Day", they can all sit back and see how many students "support" them by wearing jeans that day.
It's perfect - think of something that lots of people do anyway, like wearing jeans or existing during the month of April, and then declare that people who do that thing are "supporting" you. If they have a rehash of "Gay Jeans Day" this year, I think I'll have to pop off a few hundred "Straight White Male Oxygen Day" fliers - everyone who breathes that day will be supporting straight white guys ;)
Your picture doesn't show up - apparently there's a problem with the server it's stored on, so I'll try again later.
OTOH, if I had a nickel for every time there was a server on the 'net with transient problems, I'd be very, very rich ;)
Try it again - you can paste the URL into your browser and see if that works.

Well I didn't mean you'd be in physical danger. I meant that you'd quickly discover (or confirm if you already suspected this) that when Ithacans celebrate diversity they never mean diversity of ideas or opinions.
I just tried reaching it with two browers: one responds with "Unable to locate server" and the other seems to connect and then states, "Server currently inaccessible."
Sometimes I think my brain randomly sends those phrases to my retinas.
I'll try connecting again later. Thanks.
