Is it coincidence, or is something really major about to happen?

1. Israel issues a "code 8" to all Israeli citizens worldwide. Apparently this means they are needed in Israel, and are to return immediately. The last code 8 was associated with the 1973 war.

2. Tomorrow (Tuesday) is Israel's independence day. The evil ones are very big on timing attacks for symbolic significance.

3. A new tape showing Osama Bin Laden is broadcast, including statements about how it is time to attack Americans, in America.

4. Arafat supposedly issues a tepid condemnation of terrorism. The statement does not even make it clear that it is from Arafat. The Palestine Authority's official information service issues a statement calling for attacks on Israel, and America, in the clearest terms possible.

5. The U.S. Secretary of State ignores all logic and common sense in a transparently hopeless attempt to make peace. Absolutely no one expects him to succeed, but U.S. prestige is damaged by the attempt.

6. Powell's presence does, however, mean the number 3 person in the Bush Administration is directly on the scene if major trouble starts. It also means we have an extremely high ranking person potentially in the line of fire. If he dies, every Arab (and European) knows we will retaliate.

7. The Pope calls all Cardinals to the Vatican. He has previously stated emphatically that he will NOT step down. If this is not to elect a new Pope, then it is extremely unusual.

8. I'm sure other Freepers are aware of many things I left out, such as the alert issued in India for a possible Al Qaida attack on dams in India.

Is all this merely coincidence, or is Tuesday going to be a very interesting day?

Ah, that explains why my dog has been acting jittery lately, scratching and licking his private places, wagging his tail in a meaningful way, if you know what I mean, looking at me like he knew something was going to happen and expecting an explanation. Even tried reading the newspaper as he picked it up this morning off the driveway. (Unfortunately, it is folded up and wrapped in plastic in such a way that it's difficult to make anything out until you unfold it and unwrap it, or, rather, unwrap it and unfold it.) Now, it's starting to make sense.

Our prestige is damaged every day by Congress. Mr. Powell, who is simply, a dark skined "Jimmy Carter" matters not.

I try to silence the voices being beamed to me by the ruskies and aliens, but it's not use as of yet. I just keep adding more layers to my foil hat. As of now, the hat occupies an entire room. I just open the door, and place my head inside the hat, with my body laying outside of the room. It's been working well lately, but all these new "coincidences" have made me considered foiling the walls of said room.

A propos, this morning's paper says that uniformed postal employees will be standing in front of the main post office here at midnight, accepting the IRS greeting cards directly from the motorists' hands. Would you happen know how one can get a hold of a postal employee uniform for just one evening? (I've already got a sufficient supply of ink bleach, thank you.)

And I can tell you (having forgotten it as 4/15 & needing to buy a roll of stamps today), that the lines inside for people wanting to have their missives to the IRS and Wisconsin Dept. of Revenue weighed & stamped were huge, out-the-door huge. And it's only morning.

Today's the day I feel sorry for postal workers everywhere.

I think his conjecture is interesting and not quite tin foil material.

I agree. It may not be tomorrow. It may not have anything to do with any series of coincidences. But I am becoming convinced that we are headed for a showdown: The world vs. USA/Israel.

At least now we can say we tried the Colin doctrine, and it did not work. Hopefully it is back to the Bush doctrine now. Let's just get it over with. The sooner we start, the sooner we finish.
