Russ Feingold, Daniel Patrick Moyinahan, and Terri Welles.

I'll go along with you on Pat and Terri because they are both honorable people.

Russ, OTOH, is disliked by his staff, the knowledable folks in Wisconsin, and almost anyone who has ever known him. He comes off ok on t.v. but personally he's an arrogant, self absorbed, jerk. He's the most dangerous kind of liberal, two faced and without a moral center.

Jack Germond, former regular on The McLaughlin Group (who, incidentally, quit as soon as his daughter graduated college - saying he did that show for the tuition money at the end).

A principled liberal and old-school newspaperman who could defend his positions, and a guy who looked like a hell of a lot of fun on the adjacent barstool in his younger years.

Hey you guys! Christopher Hitchens is not a liberal!

(By definition).

He opposes abortion.

Sorry, Hitchens still a liberal whether against abortion or not. One issue does not a conservative make

Camille Paglia - I used to read her column at Salon, but cannot find it anymore. A rarity among liberals, she actually thinks for herself. She is also a superb writer with a sharp wit and often brilliant insight. Most liberals hate her because she so often disagrees with them and can back up her arguments with facts. They, of course, cannot.

David Gilmour - Pink Floyd guitarist. My favorite guitar player. Period.

Daniel Patrick Moyinahan - Brilliant, fair-minded man who always has the best interests of the USA at heart. The Senate is poorer for not having him around.

Sorry, Hitchens is no liberal, he is all over the map.

He is a British Marxist
who has lost interest in his ideology
but is unable to stay sober long enough
to figure out what he is now.

I like PAT LYNCH, a liberal radio talk show host here in Little Rock--he's funny as hell & very down to earth; it's a lotta fun arguing/discussing issues w/ him on the air. ALAN COLMES of Fox News, for the same reasons that most of the others say they like him; My former Senator DAVID PRYOR; DAVID SCHIPPERS, who seems to be an honest Democrat & was involved in the Impeachment of former President Clinton; & JIM HIGHTOWER, for the same reasons I like Pat Lynch--despite his socialist/communist tendencies.

I love Liberals that have checked out of this Earth and are living on Pluto in another dimension. I believe they are the ones to admire the most. They can be remembered, but they won't be sending money. They can probably still vote, but hey..you still don't have to hear from them!LOL!

They can probably still vote,...

Sad, but true.

For any libs, leftest, gorons, etc. that don't believe that your party tried to steal the election, by commiting voter fraud, check the Miami Herald (circa Dec '00 thru Feb '01).

Oh, btw, the Herald is a liberal rag.

Sorry I caught this thread late.

My vote would go for Gore Vidal. Other thank his support for Socialist economics, he remains one of the best chroniclers of the rise of the "Empire" which, for better or worse (Vidal would say the latter, for me, its a little bit of both), this nation has become since Roosevelt got us involved in WWII. A staunch critic of FDR and Truman, as well as Reagan, Bush, Vidal is usually an interesting read, even if you don't agree with him.
