THE dangerous recent upsurge of anti-Semitism in Europe is probably the worst since World War II, said Roger Cuckerman, head of France's large Jewish community.
Cuckerman, visiting here last week as he headed a mission showing solidarity on Israeli Independence Day, said attacks were made on synagogues and other Jewish sites in France, mainly by Muslim hoodlums.

It was on full display in the nation's capital on Saturday.
Ostensibly billed as a rally against American Mideast policy and "globalization", a wacky powwow of oddballs, screwballs, weirdos, kooks and flakes amassed on D.C. yesterday, dawdling down along Pennsylvania Avenue, banging the bongos, pouring out racist, anti-Israeli, anti-American slogans and epithets with toxic virulence as the cuckoos converged on the Capitol.
Rep. Cynthia McKinney, herself under fire for zany remarks charging the President with complicity in 9-11 for profits, would be among neighbors, friends and kinfolks in this daffy amalgamation of raging psychopaths.
As would the "White Knights of the Ku Klux Klan", in fact.
Make no mistake: What brought these wild eccentrics and fruitcakes together on Hitler's birthday wasn't love for peace, per se, but hate -- a raw, chilling, menancing intolerance towards Jews. Ugly, old-fashioned anti-Semitism -- that's the glue that binds these bigots together, media poppycock to the contrary notwithstanding.
Oh, granted these squalid rabble-rousers were savvy enough, shrewd enough, calculating enough, to cloak themselves in crafty, clever disguises. Unlike their Skin Head and Aryan Nation brethren, these militants are a tad more judicious, a bit more refined -- keen to conceal their agenda of hate behind benign and gentle-sounding misnomers. Among the motley crew horde of crackpot riff-raff swarming the capital, a group by the acronym A.N.S.W.E.R., or Act Now to Stop War and End Racism .
If ANSWER is the answer, I shutter to think what the question might be. And the sheer irony: That a group promulgating bigotry should purloin such a label boggles the mind.
Their media comrades and sympathizers, predictably, dutifully played right along, propitiously portraying these hate groups, Goebbel-esquely, with decorous respect, cordiality and deference.
From media accounts, you might get the impression these were ordinary, normal, average, everday Americans -- a little quirky, perhaps, but guided only by the noblest of intentions.
But under that glossy veneer of media prettifying whitewash, was a freak show, a pageant of hate. The orgy of Jew-bashing was beyond despicable.
This was no rally for peace, but a sickening, wretched apologia for homocide-bombers and war criminals. These dregs give aid and comfort only to those who, in the name of "Palestinian" jingoism, wantonly blow up crowded Pizzarias, night clubs, shopping malls, civilian buses.
This was no rally over Israeli "occupation", for "Palestinians" two years ago were offered full-sovereignty -- a self-governing, "Palestinian" state, complete with contiguous borders: Arafat rejected that offer and launched a bloody Jihad against Jews, instead.
This was no rally over any "massacre" at Jenin, either, for there was no such "massacre". After weeks of deliberate misreporting, the media's fabled "massacre" has since been thoroughly discredited -- exposed for the hoax that it is, the "reporters" *outed* for the liars they are.
No, folks, this rally was nothing more than media sanctified bigotry -- Politically Correct hate and prejudice, revealed in all its gory display.

What makes it odious is thier governments and medias response to anti-semetic violence.

The French wring their hands about the burning of synagogues but do nothing about it.
I saw some wimpy writer on C-Span yesterday saying that the Spanish Inquisition was the vehicle for expelling muslims. No mention of the Jews!
Since the Palestinians cannot defeat Israel, their supporters will target any Jew, anywhere and anytime.
Notorious cowards, the French will just say tsk... tsk and look the other way.

Speaking to older people who lived through this once, they tell you something that never gets repeated in the US media:
The NAZIs were left wing socialists who did not tolerate debate and hated not only Jews, but Christians.
What happened 60+ years ago can happen again. But know thy enemy. It isn't "right wing conservative." It is left-atheist-pathological liars who hate dissent, and hate God.

I am stunned in seeing the amount of hatred towards Israel I am seeing on TV, but is it just me, or has anyone else seen leftist journalists also turning on Israel? I mean, leftist journalists of Jewish descent? Has anyone else seen this?
I was taken aback because being a conservative, I can relate to how it feels to see fellow Americans turn against this nation and all that it stands for. They are called "Democrats". What I'm seeing now is liberal Jews turning on Israel. I stand, mouth agape.

Me too. I'm not getting a general sense of Jew hatred around here, are you? My Jewish friends (from very liberal to orthodox) aren't worried over what's happening here.

And how anyone could view the Nazis - who wanted to enslave entire races - as being in favor of more equality than provided by liberal democracy is beyond me. They didn't believe in human equality at all, but I suppose that the concept of right-wing socialism is so alien to the American mind that most anything will do.
I just got up and I don't have the gumption yet to dig it up, but you need to educate yourself on the political spectrum.
On the far left you have Communism and Fascism. They are on the left, not on the right end of the spectrum.
