AFAIK, the Catholic Church only voted 30% Republican! Absolutely, totally false.
Here are the facts, if you're interested:

"The content is an unbroken stream of hate and chauvinism directed against women, people of color, liberals, immigrants and in particular people of Middle Eastern heritage and people of the Muslim faith. We condemn this message of hate..." I've never heard Savage, but I'm guessing that this statement is patently untrue. I suspect his views on "Choice" & sexual discrimination, affirmative action, illegal immigration, Islamic militants, and homicide bombers don't jibe with the far lefties who happen to tune in at exactly the moment he mentions them. As far as the liberals go, the unbroken stream of hatred is certainly warranted! :^)

"PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) -- Church, community and political groups in Oregon and Washington are demanding an end to what they call 'hate radio' and have called on a station owned by billionaire Paul Allen to drop talk show host Michael Savage."
Sorry, Liberals. Even people that you don't like can exercise their Right to Free Speech!

You got it exactly right! He's kind of over the line on occasion, but for these people to claim that his show is "hate radio" is a lie.

Michael comes on pretty strong at times. I certainly will not endorse everything he has to say. But that is of the essence of free speech. The tip off that these groups are about suppression, not the battle of ideas, is that they declined radio time to respond. If they really had anything to say--anything that would stand the test of critical inquiry--they would welcome a chance to go on the air.
As I have been posting today in various places on the Le Pen smears, we need to stand fast against the war of smear and innuendo that greets anyone who opposes the Leftist push for an undifferentiated humanity. We may not all agree among ourselves on all issues. It would not be likely that those devoted to the Conservative tradition would. There are, after all, many Conservative traditions. But we all have a common stake in not being manipulated by the Leftist hatemongers who accuse everyone else of being what they (the Left) in fact are.

"The message that KXL is sending to communities of color, immigrants, and in particular to all people of Middle Eastern ancestry and to Muslims, is that you are not wanted in this country, that you have no value and that you should not expect any respect here," said Mona Goode, spokeswoman for the newly formed Coalition Against Hate Radio."Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah" said Mona Goode, spokeswoman for the newly formed Coalition Against Hate Radio.

One of the things that skews Catholic numbers is the considerable number of Hispanics, who tend to vote for Democrats, and people who are Catholic in name only (e.g., they don't go to Mass regularly, don't accept Church teachings, etc.) who also tend to vote for Democrats.
As you can see from the study I cited, observant, practicing Catholics tend to vote Republican.

KXL to tell them you like Michael Savage, Lars Larson and the future airing of Bill O'Reilly.

Mormons lead all other denominations, voting 88% for Bush and only 12% for Gore. Actually, it embarasses me that 12% would vote for a blatant socialist (as opposed to a latent socialist) like Gore. I guess that 12% has somehow missed the doctrine about freedom, about voting for only those who are honest (how many times DID he lie during the election), and against the evils of socialism/communism.

Hey P! Looks like we need to start a Coalition Against the Coalition Against Hate Radio. They think like the Islamicist fundies: All heat and no light.
Actually, they think like the "progressivist revolutionaries" they actually are (as are the Islamicist fundies, for that matter). They will not rest until the world can be "perfected" according to the requirements of their deranged view of reality.
That is, just as Karl Marx insisted, there can be no hold-outs against the "truths" of their Second Reality; no questions are permitted that might contradict the Received Wisdom; all resisters are to be classified as the "enemy" and given no quarter.
There is no "diversity," unless it be according to their definition. I.e., there is no "diversity" to be recognized in intelligent, rational, and logically-consistent viewpoints informed by experience, reason, and history. All that is "moot." The will to power is everything now.
Sigh. These people are so tiresome.... All my best -- bb.

Scratch a liberal and you get this kind of thing:
Notice how willing they are to try to shut someone up? Notice how willing are most left wing people to silence their opposition?
This should surprise no one, of course.

Chris
