Thanks for the ping. "Smart Growth" and "OPen Space" initiatives must be identified for what they are, left wing enviro-wacko programs.

Arlen Specter of PA (Scottish Law Arlen) is on this committee, and I understand he voted in favor of this act in Committee.

I am deeply concerned that Turncoat Jeffords should have been frank in naming his boondoogle whacko legislation "Commie Community Character".

Arlen is another Dem in GOP clothing just like Jeffords was.

Yep. They want to implement United Nations Agenda 21, euphemistically called "sustainable development". It's all about taking away the private property rights that have made us such an economic powerhouse.

You're right. Even my local liberal newspaper is pumping sustainable development. Of course, they pump every liberal cause that exists.

I wonder if this is an issue Arlen actually believes in, or if he is being blackmailed. He is so goofy, sometimes it is hard to tell.

I just read an article about Iowa following Cuba's example in regards to sustainable farming methods. Does that mean we have to find rusty tractors, and wear army duds? I wonder if Cuba has heard of so-called smart growth? We better send Ed right over there! Maybe on a raft, yes that's it! A Socialist or Communist might pick him right out of the water, or, maybe not. Iowa Granny, I think you only need to farm a few acres. A Green person will be your close neighbor, and you will work together. Doesn't that sound fun?
