Gun Control Misfires in Europe

Sixteen people were killed during last week's school shooting in Germany. This follows the killing of 14 regional legislators in Zug, a Swiss canton, last September, and the massacre of eight city council members in a Paris suburb last month. The three worst public shootings in the Western world during the past year all occurred in Europe, whose gun laws are exactly what gun-control advocates want the U.S. to adopt. Indeed, all three occurred in gun-free "safe zones."

Recommend looking at the Kel-Tec P-32.

Thanks for the suggestion, I've shot my buddies Kel-Tec a few times and found his to have a very long trigger pull and not utterly reliable. I'd still like to have one someday for when I need to conceal in a Speedo.

I ended up buying a Taurus Police Model 85 Lightweight Titanium in .38 Special with a concealed hammer. It weighs about 13.7 oz unloaded and lays in my pocket very comfortably. I'm a big guy and this was a good fit for when it was not quite feasible to conceal my Glock.

I got a box of Federals +P 158 Gr Nyclad hollow points over lead wadcutter to go with it. I picked up a Wild Bills horsehide pocket holster and a nylon holster with strap.

BTW, I had rented the Taurus and few similar revolvers on Friday and had a great overall impression. I did not have an issue with the recoil on any of them. The Taurus does come ported. All in all, a good day.

Are people going to be saying about you; "he was a quiet type, stuck to himself and didn't bother anyone"? Has anyone mentioned that you talk to your pieces?;^)

No, but I did happen to notice that after shopping on Saturday I now have more than a thousand rounds of ammo at home. Uh Oh!

Every single anti-gun group has gone over Lott's numbers and they can't find a thing to say about them. The records stand on merit. In the weeks that followed the Florida CCW law, the rape rate went to nothing. Overnight. CCW laws work and they work in 33 states. The CCW holders even have a better record than the police.

This is looking worser and worser. Do you ever wake up in a strange place and not know how you got there? Do you have memory blackouts, periods of time, that you don't know where you were? If yes, I'm suspecting multi-personality syndrome.;^)

My dogs tell me I have nothing to worry about, so long as I continue to follow their instructions.

Mrs. TC is questioning all of the charges at livertreat.com though.

Only a moron would think that one could erradicate a 700 year old technology with mere laws. There seem to be lots of ignorant morons around.

Excellant point. Even if they collected every gun and then closed every machine shop in the country, I could build a new 40mm potatoe launcher in about 45 minutes. Cold steel would take a bit longer.

Unless they can erase all memory of guns across the population they could never eradicate them.

Tourists were being targeted by car-jackers in Florida. Apparently the car-jackers had enough sense not to bother the residents that lived there because they might be armed. After a highly publicized car-jacking involving a German couple, the rental agencies removed the rental stickers from the vehicles.
