ME: "What is it you like about Ozzy?"

YOU: "The fact that he's not as uptight and judgemental as some of the posters on this thread."

Be careful! There is a form of self-righteousness that is very subtle, but is the most extreme form, in the end. Take Larry Flynt, for instance. Many think that one thing he isn't is self-righteous, simply because he wallows in licentiousness and smut. But pornographers and metalheads are the ultimate self-righteous people, because they are saying that THEY are the only "honest" ones, and everyone else is just a hypocrite. They are saying that the self-evident Good in the Universe is phony, but that their way is the real righteousness. Think about it.

1) I am all too familiar with Ozzy's lyrics, babe.

2) Ozzy Osbourne is only a show Satanist (though without knowing it, really serves Satan). Benny Hinn is the real thing - a true, bonafide, master Satanist.

BLACK SABBATH LYRICS

"Hand Of Doom"

What you gonna do? Time's caught up with you
Now you wait your turn, you know there's no return
Take your written rules, you join the other fools
Turn to something new, now it's killing you

First it was the bomb, Vietnam napalm
Disillusioning, you push the needle in
From life you escape, reality's that way
Colours in your mind satisfy your time

Oh you, you know you must be blind
To do something like this
To take the sleep that you don't know
You're giving Death a kiss,
Oh, little fool now

Your mind is full of pleasure
Your body's looking ill
To you it's shallow leisure
So drop the acid pill, don't stop to think now

You're having a good time baby
But that won't last
Your mind's all full of things
You're living too fast
go out enjoy yourself
Don't bottle it in
You need someone to help you
To stick the needle in, yeah

Now you know the scene, your skin starts turning green
Your eyes no longer seeing life's reality
Push the needle in, face death's sickly grin
Holes are in your skin, caused by deadly pin

Head starts spinning 'round, you fall down to the ground
Feel your body heave, Death's hands starts to weave
It's too late to turn, you don't want to learn
Price of life you cry, now you're gonna die!

Ozzy is pro-Ozzy. But he makes no secret of being a Satanist, at least in show. So, Satanism is cool now! And as far as I am concerned, Allah is another name for Satan. I know, I know..tolerance, and all that. But tolerance without reason is not true tolerance.

Hey! This gives me a chance to point out that this CNN article completed omitted any mention of last night's video clips.
But CNN thought Clinton's, from two years ago, were an important facet of this 'story'.
They're sick, sick, sick.

BTW: FRED I. GREENSTEIN
Haven't read the book, here's the author's page about it: it will give you a good idea of the quality.

Interesting heck, it's downright Satanic!

I thought the TOC was informative. Hmmm... no mention of Ozzie there though. Maybe Greenstein isn't aware of what's really important- judging by this thread- in understanding a President.

This is an annual dinner of the Press corps. It happens every year, and he was not at a dinner party living it up with Ozzy Osbourne. There are those on this forum who were even saying that Bush invited Osbourne, which is also not true.

"That he did not take his own advice to others and kill himself years ago? "

I can only assume you're referring to the song "suicide solution" with this comment.
It's a fairly well known fact(easily verified through a little research)that this song is about alcoholism.

Suicide Solution

Wine is fine
But whiskey's quicker
suicide is slow with liquer
Take a bottle drain your sorrows
THEN IT FLOODS AWAY TOMMOROW!!

Evil thoughts and evil doings
Cold, alone you hang in ruins
Thought you'd escape the reaper
You can't escape the master keeper

'Cause you feel life's unreal and you're living a lie
Such a shame who's to blame and you're wondering why
Then you ask from your cask is there life after birth
What you saw can mean hell on this earth
hell on this earth!!

Now you live inside a bottle
The reaper's travelling at full throttle
It's catching you but you don't see
The reaper is you and the reaper is me

Breaking laws, knocking doors
But there's no one at home
Made your bed, rest your head
But you lie there and moan
Where to hide, suicide is the only way out
Don't you know what it's really about

Wine is fine
But whiskey's quicker
Suicide is slow with liquer
Take a bottle drown your sorrows
THEN IT FLOODS AWAY TOMMOROW

'And as far as I am concerned, Allah is another name for Satan. I know, I know..tolerance, and all that. But tolerance without reason is not true tolerance.'

You need to study up a little. 'Allah' is simply Arabic for God. Even Arabic-speaking Christians call God 'Allah.'

My grandmother calls Pepsi, Sprite, etc. "soda". As do I. Does that mean I am my grandmother?

What is it you like about Ozzy?

Well, for my part, I can say that Ozzy's plane was stuck in New Orleans years ago,He and his then young family came into our facility with the pilot. Great guy, funny as hell, and curious about everything. I'd tip a beer or a coffee with him any time.

Luke 4.5 Then the devil led him up and showed him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world. 6 And the devil said to
him, “To you I will give their glory and all this authority; for it has been given over to me, and I give it
to anyone I please. 7 If you, then, will worship me, it will all be yours.”
8 Jesus answered him, “It is written,
‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve only him.’”

Bush Was kissing up to Bono of U2 at the White House. Don't you remember just a short time ago when Bush donated $5 billion of our tax dollars for redistribution throuout the world.

I just saw another story where Bush is is getting us out of having anything to do with the ICC; that is a good thing.

RE: Post #194

"I've no more right to act as a spokesman for Ozzy than you've the right to pass judgement on him ..."

Right there, you are telling me I have no right to pass judgment on Ozzie the Ork. Judgment of him takes place in the mind. Therefore, you are telling me I have no right to think negative thoughts about O.O. You can't stop what I think and what I believe.

This is the mentality of which the 'thought police' are made of.

BTW, acting as a spokesman for O.O. would be a legal contract with O.O., which you don't have. Passing judgement on a person, last time I checked, does not require a legal document (I'm sure the thought police would like it that way).

Analyzing the responses on this thread, I surmise that people have more problem with my freedom to judge others than my critisism of Ozzie the Ork. I think we all can agree his 'act' is full of vulgar language, base, tribal music, all with an intentionally satanic twist.

One of the main points of contention which set off the '60's youth rebellion was the fact the youth of that day did not like adults judging their sexual promiscuousness. This attitude continues to this day.

It is right to judge, to be discriminating, and to analyze everything in our lives. Only fools and idiots do not judge.

This is getting very boring, you'd think people would get the point by now. Yes, Elvis was a total jerk and his act was evil. His vulgarity ahs no socially redeeming value.

But we like certain "shows" because they speak to us in some way. I really want to know - what is it in his shows that you liked? What appealed to you?

Honestly? The loud guitars and loud drums. And his singing style. Most particularly I liked the songs from his "Diary of a Madman" album--"Over the Mountain", "Flying High Again" and "You Can't Kill Rock 'n' Roll".

As for his live shows, you can tell when a performer, any performer, "connects" with the audience or just gets up there and performs the same as if the audience isn't there. Ozzy "connects" with the audience.

I keep thinking this is not they type of humor that Ronald Reagan would have enjoyed.

I just don't understand pandering to the left with someone like Ozzy Osborne.

Why not single out some of our heroes fighting the war on terror instead of someone like Ozzy. I guess I'm just not part of the in-crowd that enjoys the latest Hollywood craze.

If they did, it would only be to restrict those who threaten the safety of the President. This is not a WH function, so my guess is that the WH had no say-so in keeping liberals Harrison Ford, Glenn Close, and Serpenthead away from the event.

Finally caught a couple of the MTV Ozzy shows last night. Obsevations.

His brain is cooked.

He's a pretty accurate depiction of modern American fatherhood and handles the teenagers pretty well for a 50 year old living in an 80 year old body and brain.

GWB's glomming onto the Ozzy phenom is pretty savvy. He needs to work the youth vote.

Really??? I would never have guessed that from his lyrics. Almost to a one, his songs are composed of the typical self-righteous, liberal lyrics which reveal that he is a self-pitying person who apparently truly believes he is the one who discovered evil. From his songs, I would have thought he was one of those Barbara Streisands with a despairing, hopeless twist.

I don't know what songs you are listening to but it definitely isn't Ozzy Osbourne. Please explain how "Wizard" or "Iron Man" or "Revelations" or "Mr. Crowley" or any other number of his songs are anything you describe.

I first saw Ozzy in Concert in 1981. I was very young at the time. I remember seeing him and Randy Rhoads for the first time on stage and I look back now on how they changed my life. At the time, my parents were getting divorced and I had little focus with my life. I watched Randy playing the guitar and I found something to focus on even to today. I put much of my energy into playing guitar and it saved me a lot of the pain from my parents divorce.

For all of you who want to demonize Ozzy, I say this: Don't act like liberals and hate the book by it's cover. I've met and talked with Ozzy. I have a great deal of respect for him. No, he isn't perfect, but who of you are? He has made mistakes in his life and he has tried to correct them. He is a gun owner and a shooter. He supports the conservative ideal. No matter what any of you think, he has a great deal of influence over a huge group of people. Many of which are of voting age. Only a fool would turn his back on a voting block like that.

I applaud President Bush for breaking down the barriers and welcoming Ozzy to the White House. For those of you who insist on slamming both the President and Ozzy, I hope you are treated the exact same way as you are treating them.

Be thankful that we have a President who has the guts to cross the divide and welcome in allies that can help us crush the freedom hating liberals.

Mike

Sacred cow? Naaahh. I just wanted to see exactly what you mean by "evil." Now since (I gather) you think that all rock-n-roll music is evil, then that tells me something different from you just thinking Ozzy is evil. That's all I wanted to know. Your opinion therefore means nothing to me, seeing as how it doesn't seem to be based on logic, but instead on faith. And faith isn't debatable. So, what can I say but, vaya con dios!(go with God!)

After having attended several Institute for Basic Youth Conflicts seminars in my younger days, I had to agree with the material presented. Rock and roll is not music. It's an imbalance of music with an over emphasis on rythme and harmony.
I have also read books on this form of entertainment, such as, "Rythme, Riots and Revolution" and now realize how this music is being used to break down the moral fiber of this once great nation.

I also came to a point in my life where I had to reject the pop culture because it is at odds with the values which made this country great.

It definitely takes more faith to believe we can maintain a free repblic with such corrosive and destabilizing influences.

I posted this thread. I was not a fan (or listener) of Ozzy's until his latest show "The Osbournes" wherein Ozzy comes down hard (and tells all of his listeners to avoid) drugs and alcohol.

But I am sure you are the judgmental type ... you do not forget. Once a druggie, always a druggie. But I hope you take a look at many, many of the lives of the saints who recovered from terrible faults and redeemed themselves. Mary Magdalene (sp) for instance.

I suspect you think you are "perfect" ... or are on the way to it. At the same time you stop to pass judgment on your fellow travelers.

Bugs Bunny is one of my favorites. You are clearly a person without joy. You revel in your distastes. You are one who has to weigh whether one type of music is better than another ... in fact, you remind me of the Taliban.
